Replays on my (Crazy BigGaz) storefront

Great fun tonight :)

Chris, sorry for race 2 crash, on the last lap, I was in the wrong so I let you past and take the point.
My engine wasn't in good shape, so I think you would of got me anyway.

pls with my results tonight 3rd and 2nd, big improovement on round 1,
Race 1 i got took out into the wall on turn 2 dont know who, not intentional i dont think, just a cold tyre tank slapper i think. Got back facing the right way and started trying to make my way back into contention, Wayne was jumping all over the place so very cautious in passing, then had good battles with firstly Jim, then Adrian and Tom, Great racing guys, clean and fair. managed to finish 3rd just ahead of Tom but miles behind Daz and Chris.
Race 2 Got a good start, Again great battles with Adrian and Tom but soon as Daz got past me he was gone, Finished 2nd ( only due to Chris`s retirement i think).
Well done to Daz, in a different league tonight mate, also well done to all, Great RD racing again.

Well I had an absolute nightmare tonight. Got off to a slow start in race 1 only to realise I had the wrong tuning file loaded on my car. Car was a real handful and 2-3 seconds a lap slower than what I'd been doing in practice so was unable to compete.
Race 2 had a massive crash at the 1st corner, not sure what really happened, but the car was virtually written off. Made a bit of a silly decision to limp back up the 1st straight to the pits. Car would only do 12 mph. Thought I'd be out of the way tucked in to the side of the track, but no as Paulo an co came 3 abreast done the 1st straight and Paulo just clipped me. Really sorry about that mate. Anyway that totally finished my car off and I could not even move it then. Looking forward to checking the replays out

I enjoyed the battles in the first race- real good fun! I think I was running 4th in the second race and me and Paulo were exchanging the place back and forth lap after lap with him taking me on the straight and me taking him in the twisty bit but then we were having a drag race down the straight and he was next to me and I didn't even notice Jim until Paulo hit him and ricocheted into me at full speed! Everything went red on my damage indicator so I pitted in and just enjoyed the lapping after that. Was dropping a steady 3 tenths a lap for the last few laps but because my aero was f'ed I was driving like hell to get a 2:03xx. Good fun. I was hoping to get some good points today but alas that one straight was too long. Not looking forward to Silverstone, I think I'm gonna be a sitting duck there.

Really enjoyed last nights racing.

Race 1 started well and had a deju-vu feeling, with Tom all over my rear bumper for what seemed like ages, until he got past, and then I made silly mistakes trying to keep up and went backwards, eventually finishing 7th.

Race 2 was great fun - had a great battle with Wayne up front for ages, then 4 of us were very close - the back straight and first corner when all 4 of us were right next to each other must deserve a second look :D

Well done to Dan on 2 wins, and thanks for making me feel welcome guys.

Was a really good race last night, had good fun with Dan and Paulo i just didnt have the legs to keep with Dan for the last three laps, Race 2 i dont really know what happend, someone lagged into me, my screen filled with can and the i had serious damage, Managed to get going got all way round track to the pits but the aero damage was too much so i couldnt make the ground back! Gaz had problems towards the end and we where poised for a final lap battle, i tried to go round the outside of the fast right hander at the top of the hill but Gaz seemed to get a bit of oversteer that pushed me wide and into a sand trap, He did let me back through for the point thanks for that! Glad i joined you guys

Mixed bag for me.
R1 - started towards back of grid - no problem, at front for R2! Connections issues (my end?) meant that everyone was flying (literally). Didn't dare get close as it could have ended mine and whoever's race - bit like being in Back to the Future - were you all in DeLoreans? Really weird effect, cars over 50 ft in the air and also wiggling side to side. Once I'd dropped back because of my caution, and Steve had passed me, it settled down. I managed to stay 'in touch' with the back pack and they stopped flying - never going to catch them but could always see them disappearing around the next corner ... Managed 8th - a point!?

R2 - much better for me - no connection issues for me. Started 3rd, then led for a few laps until Dan the Man started applying pressure. Watching the ft indicator get smaller and smaller - then he was less than 20 ft!!!!!! AaaagHH!!
Lotus is OK if you are smooth - Dan's pressure meant I pressed a little too hard, lost speed and he finally overtook me, (with his two sidekicks), on the home straight. Had a great few last laps trying from 4th to catch 3rd place but could never really get close enough.

This has been a great series - well done Tom for setting it up, Garry for hosting. Maybe if calender allows we could do something similar in the New Year - R1 or R2 class maybe ..... as not raced any of these online over a series.
Cheers guys - it was a blast.

Looking forward to Silverstone.

Without practicing, I made the mistake to went to Barcelona with the same setup from the previous race, means that
I reach the high revs on the pit exiting zone, loosing about 10 miles of top speed at least.

Race 1: I did lead for a few laps, wheeeee :). On the slower corners i was fine (kind), but on the faster ones I was
strugling to keep the rear end in position, I was drifiting like 'Fast & Furious' lads.
On lap 6 after a huge and fair fight with Tom for 4th, we were side by side on 2nd corner and Tom hit me slighty but enough
to lose it and crash into the barriers, lost three positions but managed to recover to 5th. It was completely unintentional Tom,
you couldn't see me, as I couldn't see you either, (dead spot vision). Hats off for Jim and his fairplay on the last lap, thank you mate.

Race 2: It was pretty fun too. Some hot fights always clean. Hilarious when we were three wide at the front straight,
Tom on the left side, Dan in the middle overtaking him and me on the right side overtaking both, when suddenly...
I see a yellow car facing to us in my side. Dan was already safe, I had to think quickly. Turn full lef and hit hard Tom?
Stay exactly where I am and hit hard Jim? Well, I decided to split the hit, I mean, hit with my right side Jim's car and try
to hit less harder Tom. However it was to fast to measure the right decision I was running at +250 Km.
Unfortunately Tom went for repairs, I didn't because my damage were only body work and gearbox, so I have decided
to carry on, even with gear change working a bit worst. Managed another 5th place.

Self reminder: practice a bit before races to try to get a better setup.

Congrats Dan and to podium, well done to all.

Cheers

Well done to all that showed up!! There was some good sensible racing seen last night.

Race 1: I stayed back until people made small mistakes then I went for the overtakes. I managed to take 3 people around the outside of Turn 3. It was difficult to pass the BMWs as they flew down the straights and struggled on the corners where I eventually overtook. Caught up to Chris and had a good battle until I got past him at Turn 4 and into Turn 5.

Race 2: Held back again at the start for fear of an accident. Not too sure what happened with Jimmy and Chris into Turn 1 but luckily I was on the far left and managed to stay out of trouble. I slowly made my way through the field, again great defending made it difficult at times.

I think there should be more races after Silverstone!!

Re: New championship ... Can we change cars? I have a love/hate thing going on with my Lotus ..... more hate than love ....

I'm of the opinion that yes, you should be allowed to choose a new car- but from the same criteria. I don't think there's a danger of having everyone pick the same car either as quite a few are just as fast but suit different driving styles. There are a couple though that are at a bit of a disadvantage for one or more reasons.
