Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (CP) March 25, 2011 --Speculation is starting to rise that a new team will be taking to the World Championship grid for FSR's 2011 season.
The two new leaked shots below from a possible press campaign are evidence that the rumours are more than just rumblings around the paddock.
Selected press and media were apparently invited to join ATR-Silverline in Valencia where the drivers got their first feel for the car, and given brief moments to ask questions with the owners/investors, engineers and drivers. Although press were able to take statements, all folks in attendence signed binding contracts that holds them to silence until all negotiations are final.
In the photos, the drivers faces have been blurred out - It is thought that these photos were possibly mid edit and to be used as an advertisement for a driver announcement event to be held sometime this coming weekend. Even though this is all mere speculation, there is nothing denying that the ATR and Silverline marks on the car differentiate it from the Silverline vehicles recently shown in Silverline's 2011 launch campaign for the World Series and World Trophy divisions.
One last note that again can't be confirmed at this time, but fortunately came from a well-trusted source has said that the helmet of the driver in the second shot can be thought to belong to none other than Morgan Morand.
It was said that Morand had been speaking to ATR's Owner and Chief Engineer, Martin Christensen. If this is the case, it could mean great things for this potential outfit as Christensen brings with him a wealth of race experience and has been known to get the best of his drivers on the track.
