AMS Open Project closed at RD?

Is there a statement of the gentlemen of Racedepartment, why the thread of AMS open project was closed? The hosting of the files via mediafire can't be the reason, because it was tolerated for quite some time.

Files must be hosted at RD, it is pretty clear in the rules. The fact we missed it for a long time doesn't make it legit. Please report when you see a file that is not following our rules, that would help.

Interesting business model, one reduces the amount of existing content and tries to sell premium accounts at the same time. I would still introduce a download limit of 100MB per day, like nogripracing.com, may it rest in peace. With all respect, but rules are of course rules....

It's ok, we didn't read the rules, never thought this could be a problem, there are a lot of resources linked to external servers, just that.
