4 screen setup but I want to only play on 3 of them

Hello everyone,

I just bought 3 monitors and I have another one too. I will place the 3 new monitors on another desk and I want to use them for gaming only. My other monitor is meant for daily work. My problem is that I dont know if that is possible because I want to connect all of them to one graphics card (gtx 980) but use 3 when I play games and use only one for other stuff. The new monitors are from ASUS and the old one is a Samsung. I hope you can help me

I do that on my 980 ti using:
- 3 display port to connect my gaming screens
- 1 DVI (or HDMI) to connect my other screen

In the nvidia control panel you can group your 3 screens to build a nvidia surround configuration (it is the same section than sli and Phsyics configuration).
You will have to configure screen positions and bezel compensation.

After that, the windows display tool ("screen resolution") will see only 2 screens, the very large nvidia surround one and the other monitor. You just have then to set them as extended displays.
