Scheduled for release on May 11, TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3 is just a month away. With that, more and more information about the game is revealing itself. But today, fans can finally reserve their copy of the game as pre-orders are now open.

So far, two different versions of the game are available to purchase, both of which bring their own perks. Though you will have to wait a while before making the most of your purchase.

Official TT IOM game editions

With the game releasing in just over a month, it's time to think about the best version to pre-order. Two different editions are currently available: the Standard Edition and the Race Fan Edition. Both versions will feature the full game including 38 riders with their official liveries and countless bike models.

On top of the regular game, pre-ordering the Standard Edition will give fans a special John McGuiness livery. With gold details throughout his bike and race suit, this is the look he sported in his 100th TT start in the 2022 RST Superbike TT. His first race of the weekend also pushed this legend of the sport over a centenary of race starts. A special moment fans can re-live in the upcoming game.

In its pre-order form, the Standard Edition costs €49.80. But for an extra €9.18, one can opt for the top-of-the-range Racing Fan Edition. Whilst this gives players the full game and the John McGuinness pre-order bonus livery, it features its own selection of perks.

The TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3 Racing Fan Edition offers players 48-hour early access. Jump ahead of the queue and experience all 60 kilometres and 264 corners before other race fans. Furthermore, the range-topping version gives players a boost in the game's Career Mode. Whether that's more starting credits, a fast-track to TT qualification or pre-owned bikes, a leg up is always welcome. Finally, those that splash out get the 2023 TT liveries and bikes for free whereas the rest of gamers will have to purchase it as a DLC this summer.

If you pre-order the Racing Fan Edition on Steam, you'll also get access to RiMS Racing. Also developed by Raceward, it is often dubbed one of the best motorbike racing games on the market. Sounds like a good bonus for simply buying the new title early.

With its open world, reworked graphics and physics and a large variety of tracks, this game is expected to be one of the titles of 2023. If you're planning on doing so, now is certainly the best time to get your hands on the game.

Will you be pre-ordering TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3? If so, which edition are you getting?

This game does look pretty good and I do plan on purchasing. From experiencing these sorts of titles they play much better after 6 months and bought in a Steam sale.

I was at the 2022 TT so will be interested in the open world aspect because we did travel around on the island. Will be pleasantly suprised if I can see my glamping tent in the field where we camped over the weekend...........

Wait a sec...2023 game, but 2023 content costs extra?
Add that to it already being extortionately expensive!
OK, I'm out. So out I really don't want to hear about this fail again.

There is literally NO POINT in preordering a fully digital game.

But today, fans can finally reserve their copy of the game as pre-orders are now open.

"Reserving" something with unlimited supply (since it's not physical) makes absolutely no sense.

Pretty sad that RD would make blatant ad posts like this one.

Also you stated that RiMS was only included in preorders which seems factually wrong from what I'm seeing. Only "bonus" is getting to play this 2 days earlier

Stop getting shafted by game companies, never preorder.

Unless it's one of those titles like Dakar Desert Rally that locks one of the major vehicles in the sport (Audi RS Q e-Tron) behind pre-order so that you STILL don't have access to it six months after the game released unless you pre-ordered even if you buy the DLC that's supposed to contain it. I fully expect F1 202x at some point to make the Ferraris only accessible to people who bought some Ultimate Deluxe Preorder Ferrari Edition.

Companies doing predatory **** like this don't deserve a single cent from me. Rather skip the game entirely then.

Or you know, wear your eyepatch and go out so sea, arr

Yeah, sometimes one might even take on to the sea, just to see if a title holds water, enough to dig up ones buried treasure :p Or wait till the wind is preferable on Steam coast

The "never ever pre-order a game" edition has far more perks. You can make an informed decision instead of just hype or some trailer that shows basically nothing of the actual game, you will know if the game actually works or not seeing as lots of games are released in a badly unfinished state, you won't support a very anti-consumer business practice, and if you decide to buy it you will get one of their infinite virtual copies that won't run out.

Not the greatest advertisement you know.

As someone who has been burned by many pre orders in the past, i still wont be pre ordering no matter if they cover it in gold, im looking forward to the game although just like many have said im not happy about the price, So looks like ill be waiting for the summer or winter sale

Pre-orders on digital distribution makes zero sense.

The only way for me for it to make sense is:

- The dev/publisher gets more development investment
- In return the buyer gets like a 2 week no questions asked return/refund policy on launch.
