The Porsche Esports Carrera Cup Deutschland has gone through various guises, running on RaceRoom in 2020, then iRacing in 2021. The championships were won by now-ESL R1 drivers for MOUZ, Moritz Löhner and Max Benecke respectively.

The revival of PECCD will be on the third different platform in as many editions. It will become the second competitive championship on Rennsport after ESL R1. The season is getting underway in just under a month, and drivers can compete for a share of €25,000.

Rennsport are also about to drop their biggest set of closed beta access keys yet. So stick around to find out how you can be in with a chance of taking part in the series.

PECCD: Format

The season will consist of five online rounds held between December and March, with a final in April. The way to qualify for the initial rounds will be two sets of 60-minute hotlap qualifier sessions. One will be held on a Friday, the other on a Saturday.

After those two sessions, the twelve drivers with the best times are able to compete. There will be two sets of races, with the first race’s grid set by a traditional qualifying session. But that race does not count for points, and instead just sets the grid for the all-important second race.

Once the first five rounds are done, the best 12 drivers in the standings qualify for the final. To keep things exciting for the final, all the competitor’s points are averaged out. So if a driver scores 80 points, this will be divided by the number of rounds. That means that their points heading into the final becomes 16.

For that final, there will be three races. The points the drivers earn from them will be divided again by the number of races. They will then be added on to the amount that they entered the final with. The combined total will then decide the final order.

Of course like in all Carrera Cup championships, drivers will race the spec 911 Cup car. The 992 GT3 Cup was recently added to Rennsport. However, many players still do not have access to the title. That will soon change.

Rennsport: 15k keys
If you are still waiting for access to the Rennsport beta, you may be in luck. On 24 November, the dev team are handing out 15,000 keys, and if you have been on the waiting list since 2022, you are almost certain to get one, as per the latest community talk session.

For those who would like a chance of getting access, sign up now to the beta waitlist.

Also on 24 November, a new update is coming to the beta. Included in it are TCR cars, Road Atlanta and Daytona Road Course, plus revised force feedback amongst other features. That along with all the pre-existing cars and tracks will be available in Rennsport, so keep an eye on your inbox to see if you are one of the 15,000 key recipients.

Should you get a key or already have one, you may be within a chance of qualifying for the Porsche Esports Carrera Cup Deutschland. Join the PECCD Discord for all information on dates which are subject to change.

All rounds will all be broadcast to the Porsche Twitch channel and the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland YouTube channel.

Ah, I didn't realize that they're actually going to race in Imola and Budapest next year.
Honestly they should have kept Spa. But yes, all these tracks they do not have on Rennsport is going to cause a bit of a headache for the PCCD organisers.

Like how SRO only had one Asian track on ACC for the GTWC Esports Asia series.
