Announced as far back as the 24 Hours of Spa event in 2022, Assetto Corsa Competizione’s latest premium downloadable content pack, GT2, is starting to shape up – with the KTM X-Bow GT2 confirmed for inclusion today, 3rd January 2024.

The Austrian supercar places a five-cylinder Audi engine in the middle, outputting 600bhp which is sent to the rear rears via a Holinger six-speed sequential gearbox.

Of note, the version on display in-sim appears to feature additional lights at the front (central, above the splitter and below the KTM badge) used for longer endurance races, at venues (amongst others) such as the Nürburgring.

Apt, as the Nürburgring Nordschleife also makes its way to the platform later in 2024.

The initials ‘KOF’ also appear on the digital driver-name windscreen readout, potentially indicating KTM driver Reinhard Kofler.

It marks the second vehicle by KTM available for the ACC platform, following the X-Bow GT4 which was part of an 11-car pack released in 2020.

One of its most unique features is its carbon fibre monocoque construction which features a jetfighter-inspired opening canopy, in lieu of traditional doors.

It has followed the likes of the Porsche 935 (2019), Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport Evo, Audi R8 LMS GT2 and Maserati MC20 GT2 as being part of the line-up.

Based on what Kunos Simulazioni co-founder Marco Massarutto highlighted 18 months ago about what he’d like to see included, here’s how the line-up is shaping up so far:
  • Audi R8 LMS GT2
  • Brabham BT63 GT2
  • KTM X-Bow GT2
  • Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo GT2
  • Maserati MC20 GT2
  • Mercedes-AMG GT2
  • Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport Evo
  • Porsche 935 (2019)
It’s worth bearing in mind that the Lamborghini that has raced in SRO’s GT2 events is a derivation of the Super Trofeo car already available for the platform – so we await to see if that tweaked model is part of this pack.

The final release date, price and console conversion status are still to be confirmed, alongside if any track will be part of the set.

it looks like project cars 2 to AMS2 road.
its known, that you have Madness Games on you special list.
But its the normal comercial way nowadays.
Forza MS, Codemasters, EA, all play the same game
AC did not, but ACC sells the same refurbished cars with different specs since it wan't GT3 only.
AC2 will be not different.
Who cares ;)

Excellent sleuthing

I just have a soft spot for these GT2 cars, I made a full 2021 skinpack using other models a couple of years ago and that's my main reason to look forward to this DLC with interest, but the other person made me go back and look at the previews of the other cars and they all seem to have the Lumirank system, so perhaps that element is wrong on purpose.
