Grid Legends Goes Endurance With New DLC

Grid Legends keeps the content coming with this new DLC titled "Enduring Spirit". In it, you can experience new cars, route updates, story and career events and prepare for a spooky Halloween experience. Additionally, there's Fuji Freeway!

The story-based and cross-platform multiplayer DLC introduces a new game dynamic where drivers compete in a long-distance race format putting their skills and endurance to the test.

Featuring the iconic Fuji Speedway circuit, players can battle for glory by racing four new cars as they navigate this legendary location and its four new routes.

The new game mode invites players to race as ‘Driven to Glory’ story mode character and prodigy driver Lara Carvalho alongside racing daredevil Yume Tanaka at the inaugural Seneca ‘GRID of Legends’ tournament.

The narrative will develop over eight themed story experiences and story events. Enduring the heat, and finding balance and harmony is key for players to claim victory.

The new cars are:
  • Autozam AZ-1 Mazdaspeed Kei
  • Bentley Speed 8
  • Bentley Continental GT3
  • BMW V12 LMR
Wowie! What a roster!

Two of the greatest Bentleys ever to exist, a legendary BMW endurance car and the Autozam AZ-1! Doug DeMuro would be proud.

Naturally, that is not all!

Ahead of the spookier season of the year, GRID Legends will also host a special Halloween event free for all players starting today up to November 6.

Set in London, surrounded by green fog and immersed in an eerie atmosphere, players who carry out the proposed five-lap race using the Cobra Cup vehicle class will be rewarded with five Halloween-inspired vehicle patterns.

The DLC is available starting today and is even included for anyone owning the Deluxe Edition.

What do you think of this DLC? Is it up your alley or are you looking elsewhere? Let us know in the comments below!

Spent a fair bit of time with Grid Legends on the Poxbox thanks to Gamepass., I would say I have had plenty of fun with it in short bursts.

Never fired up the story mode though, The handling is responsive enough to be enjoyable, and the race strategy tends to be bash your way to the font of the pack in the first 3 corners.

Not something I'd look to for endurance racing.

That is a non-argument. If someone wants to use the cockpit view and play with a wheel, they should have proper camera customization to be able to properply play in those views !

If YOU prefer to play in chase view then that is your choice and you should not be telling others what "works better" if they do not care about other ways to play.

There should have been options to change camera height and distance, then also the angle. These three options minimum should have been there and Codemasters knows how to do them because they have them in F1 games for many years and also in their Dirt Rally games.

Let me use your type of argument - it is a racing game and those work better in cockpit views and with a wheel anyway.
You miscategorized this "racing" game as a full blown sim, therefore unreasonable expectations on full cockpit view customization only found in select few titles.
This is Forza Horizon, Blur, NFS, Flatout, etc. level. Some don't even have cockpit view, resorting to hood camera, if you are lucky. Even FM7 didn't have any customizations, not even FOV slider.
I am all for cockpit view, didn't find it too bad in Grid to be honest, my kids, who really play the game, prefer more cinematic experience with chase camera, plus it's easier for managing the AI crowd as well.

Sounds like the way you want to play it just does not translate to "better" experience, so the whole argument on what is better does not really hold.

Grid Legends has more cockpit and dash views to choose from than other race games and i have no need to adjust any of them. Just perfectly placed for me.

I love Assetto and project cars 2 etc but if I fancy a fun raz then Grid legends does it. cars handle ace with a wheel in cockpit or bumber view, you can really throw the cars about alot slamming tight into corners sliding sideways, I love the city tracks best as feels street racy. Soooo Endurance legends ? just had a quick play and feels ok. not that excited as grid is a quick fun blast game. To me personally whats rocking in sim world right now ? Yep Assetto mods with real traffic and recreated famous roads. Grid should do Street Legends ! traffic, familiar roads, and cool retro street cars. im not a fan off 200mph super cars and prefer the slower classses. come on grid......Street legends with traffic!!!!!

Jut bought for $25AUD with all DLC on the steam sale, and its pretty good for what it is.
Better than FM7, not as good as GTSport.

It does have the same probelm as Grid2019, FOV slider stops at 55, for most rig players with post 1986, 16 inch monitors this is not enough, by their FOV math it should slide down to to at least 40(ish), lets hope they add VR at some point or add some non Lounge Room FOV slider adaptations to it.

interim for 25 bucks, its a bit of fun, id categorise it similar to Wreckfest in my collection, good for racing while drinking.

Before buying the full game, I would have liked to know if it is possible to play with all the content of Grid Legends (DLC included!) in offline mode, i.e. disconnected or without an internet connection, after the downloads or complet installation with Steam.
As far as I'm concerned, I don't see the point of investing in a game publisher that makes it mandatory to connect, even if you never play online...:(
