Grid Legends Goes Endurance With New DLC

Grid Legends keeps the content coming with this new DLC titled "Enduring Spirit". In it, you can experience new cars, route updates, story and career events and prepare for a spooky Halloween experience. Additionally, there's Fuji Freeway!

The story-based and cross-platform multiplayer DLC introduces a new game dynamic where drivers compete in a long-distance race format putting their skills and endurance to the test.

Featuring the iconic Fuji Speedway circuit, players can battle for glory by racing four new cars as they navigate this legendary location and its four new routes.

The new game mode invites players to race as ‘Driven to Glory’ story mode character and prodigy driver Lara Carvalho alongside racing daredevil Yume Tanaka at the inaugural Seneca ‘GRID of Legends’ tournament.

The narrative will develop over eight themed story experiences and story events. Enduring the heat, and finding balance and harmony is key for players to claim victory.

The new cars are:
  • Autozam AZ-1 Mazdaspeed Kei
  • Bentley Speed 8
  • Bentley Continental GT3
  • BMW V12 LMR
Wowie! What a roster!

Two of the greatest Bentleys ever to exist, a legendary BMW endurance car and the Autozam AZ-1! Doug DeMuro would be proud.

Naturally, that is not all!

Ahead of the spookier season of the year, GRID Legends will also host a special Halloween event free for all players starting today up to November 6.

Set in London, surrounded by green fog and immersed in an eerie atmosphere, players who carry out the proposed five-lap race using the Cobra Cup vehicle class will be rewarded with five Halloween-inspired vehicle patterns.

The DLC is available starting today and is even included for anyone owning the Deluxe Edition.

What do you think of this DLC? Is it up your alley or are you looking elsewhere? Let us know in the comments below!

I actually had no idea this game even existed, to be honest. But well, let's hope the people who play it will enjoy !

I was like wût? too at first, but I guess I simply forgot it existed. I think I actually played it for like 10-15 minutes.

Thanks for posting Julian:thumbsup:....as a hardcore Sim Racer I usually overlook this type of Racer, however a few YouTube videos convinced me to purchase this knowing it is a solid Arcade Racer.
...namely this video sold me:rolleyes::geek:

and this one.

And cue the haters...

Its a Grid game, so frame your expectations. I got this game free on Amazon Prime day, but was playing it courtesy of Game Pass anyway. I like it. I find it fun. The physics and AI are not ideal, but I enjoy this game. I disagree that it is a waste of time from the devs, and if I felt I was wasting my own time, it would be long gone like ACC from my HDD.

I don't know how you can play the story mode for 15 minutes and not want to get on track and wreck Nathan McKane. What a detestable tool. They did a good job with the character creation there!! I'm 1/2 in the game, so I can't wait to see him get his come-uppance.

My opinion is that the Steam sale of $20 for the deluxe edition is good value for a fun racer. If you really like it, you get all the DLC with that. I might even buy that to get the DLCs myself. The endurance DLC looks interesting, not sure what the next 2 will be, but if one is worth my time, then at $20 I've not wasted my money IMO.

Its actually a really decent pick up and play game when you cant be bothered to use the wheel

No basic options for cockpit views besides FoV slider for one of the views, but hey let's add dlc ...

What these options should be, there is cockpit view, some customization including virtual mirror, visibility of hands/wheel, what else is needed?
It's a couch game that works better in chase view anyway. :)

Do be warned that this game has some sort of progress loss issue. The career objectives will reset randomly from time to time. Also rare occurrences of losing the whole save file resulted in you starting from zero again.

It is not a bad game. Cars have some personality. Decent variety of tracks. AI is a bit ****, too aggressive. Quite good visuals.

Though I prefer to play games in VR on a wheel. Even before I had a wheel or VR, no cockpit view, no buy! (I think I gave up on the chase cam with the Burnout games on og xbox)

I loved the original Race driver GRID. Only ever played it in cockpit view. They dropped it the next release, so never bought another game in the franchise.

That is a non-argument. If someone wants to use the cockpit view and play with a wheel, they should have proper camera customization to be able to properply play in those views !

If YOU prefer to play in chase view then that is your choice and you should not be telling others what "works better" if they do not care about other ways to play.

There should have been options to change camera height and distance, then also the angle. These three options minimum should have been there and Codemasters knows how to do them because they have them in F1 games for many years and also in their Dirt Rally games.

Let me use your type of argument - it is a racing game and those work better in cockpit views and with a wheel anyway.
