Equal now means equal: A major bug regarding tire wear in F1 23 had recently made waves, putting the entire esports competition aspect of the game in question - which is why EA Sports and Codemasters have reacted and fixed the problem as part of the v1.07 update. Career Mode players and console racers using Logitech and Thrustmaster wheels can also breathe a sigh of relief.

While F1 23 aims to recreate the strengths and weaknesses of the real Formula One vehicles, it also has the option to set cars to equal performance for competition purposes, such as the Formula 1 Esports Series. However, not all of the cars had the same tire wear rate, as recently came to light, which particularly disadvantaged drivers of the Haas and Ferrari cars. As part of the new patch, this problem has been fixed, so equal performance now means equal.
Meanwhile, drivers should no longer retire before the last race of the season in Career Mode. Previously, contract negotiations and retirements have happened prior to a season's finale, causing issues moving forward. Various UI bugs and multiplayer issues have also been taken care of - you can find the full list of changes below.
The new patch is now available for the PC and console versions of F1 23.

FFB Fixes on PC & Console
This is not all there is to v1.07, though: Players had also reported a loss of Force Feedback with both Thrustmaster and Logitech wheels when playing on Xbox, and PC racers would sometimes lose FFB when returning the game to focus after alt-tabbing out of it, for example.
