Audi, the German marque with the four rings, is on its way to F1. But you don't need to wait until 2026 to drive a virtual recreation. An update to F1 22 includes the Audi F1 car in the podium pass.

During the Belgian Grand Prix this year, Audi announced they would join F1 in 2026. The same weekend, a prototype car was shown with the current specifications and an Audi livery.

This car can now be driven in F1 22, so everyone can act like Audi is already challenging at the top step of racing competitions.

The livery features classic silver and red Audi colours and modern black added to the mix.

“There was incredible excitement when Audi announced it would be joining the F1 grid,” said Paul Jeal, F1 Senior Franchise Director at Codemasters.
“We are excited to deliver the stunning launch livery to EA SPORTS F1 22 players as part of Podium Pass Series 4, allowing Audi to establish itself as a title contender in the virtual world ahead of its debut in 2026.”

To drive the new Audi for yourself, you will need to have the “Podium Pass Series 4 VIP tier”, which was released on the 7th of December.

What do you think of this inclusion? Are you excited to already roleplay as Audi? Let us know in the comments down below!

No, you're thinking of Alfa Romeo
Statistically, German cars are less reliable than Italian cars nowadays. Also more expensive to repair.
The thing is, there aren't many Italian cars out there nowadays except from Ferrari and Alfa Romeo, Fiat barely exists and Lamborghini is German. Well, to be fair, there are lots of Fiat cars out there, but no new ones except from these stupid 500s.
Anyway, you want reliability, buy Korean or Japanese. Everything else is garbage.
Also, the statistics for German cars would be even worse if they were honest and recalled their defective products. They never do. Especially VW. But you see, Germany is the King of Europe and they do whatever they wish.

At the age of 10 I became a fan of Richard Petty in American Nascar. He drove a Dodge or Plymouth for most of his career...thus...sadly...even tho they were far in arrears of Ford & Chevy in sales, I have continued all my life to support the Viper, the STCC Stratus, heck, Nascar Pick Up Trucks, even the Dodge Neon in SCCA Speed World touring. Don't get me started on how Dodge won multiple championships and then quit almost every one. I am, what I am, a fan.
Same goes for Ferrari, my first televised viewing of F1 was back in the 80's featuring Rene Arnoux & Michele Albereto. Been a Prancing Horse fan ever since, long before I knew what a Tifosi was. Who is to say HOW or WHY we are fans?

You will be a supporter of the Audi F1 team because you like production Audi's more than BMW (not even in F1 anymore) or Mercedes....? Seriously? Is that how you chose which team to support?
I'm a Ferrari fan, but doesn't mean I can't admire and support another brand!

They do make the best boring cars in the world.
Boring when 1980s? I looked at both BMW and Audi together when I decided on an Audi Quattro. Reason: Better build quality, BMWs are ugly now and too blingy (like Mercedes), better technology and infotainment, solid build and from speaking with long-time audi owners - wont rattle when they get old, as is the case with BMWs and Mercs.

Is the race team also going to be made up entirely of people who wanted a BMW but couldn't afford one?
In Australia they are the same competitive price. It comes down whether you want something great looking, well built, with great tech or an ugly BMW!

Yeah, BMW's gone down a dark path lately too. At least NOSTRILCARS didn't last long. :roflmao:

I will name the team as Auto-Union but it will be weird to have a team named Auto-Union, being the racing team of Audi, and with......uh, Ferrari power units? :D
