Could Project Cars 4 be on the way?

Could Project Cars 4 be on the way_.jpg
Ian Bell the former Slightly Mad Studios CEO has tweeted today “If PCars 4 is awesome it was all me. If it isn't. I left 6 months ago”

This is the first time Ian Bell who left Slightly Mad Studios 6 months ago has mentioned Project Cars 4 in over a year and yes it’s not much, but you could assume that he knows what’s going on with the PCars 4 project.

It’s been two years since Project Cars 3 came out, the third instalment in the Project Cars franchise didn’t go down well with fans of Project Cars. The first two Project Cars titles were hardcore sim racers and though they had their flaws (as do all sims in some way), there was a loyal following.

During the two years since Slightly Mad Studios released PCars 3, the studio was sold to Codemasters and then Codemasters was bought out by Electronic Arts.

Most fans of the franchise would agree that they don’t want another Project Cars 3, however it would be fascinating to see what the madness game engine is capable of on the latest generations of console.

Would you be excited for Project Cars 4?

Yes, and i fully stand by what i said, even by what you quoted. Any perceived slight on them is in your head.

You are not part of Reiza, you never saw the code, so please, stop gate keeping and accept your opinion is as valid as mine.

And like i said, relax.
I am fully relaxed and despite not seeing the code as I am not a developer I know what the facts are (many of which are anyway public).
As much as you are free to broadcast your uninformed theories, I am free to say they are wrong and not factual and I have direct knowledge of the things I said.
If you don't agree no problem. Gate keepers are those who have no direct knowledge of their theories and yet all they can muster to counter facts from informed people is calling the fanboys. Not a new movie.

I still play Pcars2 more than any other sim and more than ever since Silver Project 9.7. I wonder if people realize how good this ffb is? road feel is excellent once you tweek the parameters to your liking. So, yes I am dreaming of a pcars4 as a further developed pcars 2 with more Vintage cars and tracks.

In the community simcade means "sim i don't like".

If simracing is a genre of games, a subpar entry(often subjectively) still belongs to the same genre, the same way a crappy FPS is still an FPS.
Stronly disagree with both Aris' and your comments.

Simcade exists. It is game gives you believable but no realistic car behaviour (to make it more theatrical or accessible) and (hopefully) promote way of racing that make it look similar to what you see IRL.

That's a fair good summary, what I wonder is how it so often is used as a pejorative term rather than descriptive one.

That's fine for more console centric games like Forza Horizons...but when it's used for more serious sim games that others dislike it's defo an insult.

If this is true and PC4 doesn't have pitstops or fuel and tyres physics it will be the same piece of **** as PC3

Why on earth would they do they same thing over again when they've acknowledged that PC3 didn't work?
