Automobilista 2 | Version 1.3.6.2 Released

Automobilista 2 Mid May Update.jpg
Reiza Studios has posted an update to Automobilista 2 on Steam, bringing further improvements to the Porsche Cup, fixing the DPi AI bug, and a number of other improvements.

A follow up to the major update that came to Automobilista 2 last week has been released. Reiza Studios made the changes live over the past weekend, which brought a variety of fixes.

Among the changes are further improvements to the Porsche Cup cars, which have already received an abundance of refinements this month.

Interestingly, one of the focuses of the version 1.3.6.2 release are in-car gauges. Many of the classic open wheel race cars in AMS2 have improved gauges, which should add to immersion for those racing without a HUD or in VR.

Have you tried this or any of the recent updates to Automobilista 2? Let us know your thoughts on the title in the comments below.

Just tested and I've noticed a very old annoying thing about the AI that are still here since release day. For example with the f1 U2 at Imola, AI level 95 , the 10 first cars can do around 1:16 which is very fast for race pace already....then AI 92 same thing, the 10 first cars can do 1:16 ..then Ai 85 same the 10 first cars can do around 1:16. So for example if you have 1:20 (real life F1 2022 pilot pace) lap time you will never be able to have the same pace as the 10 first cars. Inversely, if you set the AI at 80 level they are very dumb. No way to have a sweet spot. Not a surprise that new players are bored with the single player very quickly. Anyway the cup cars don't yet drive like race car, still slide a lot especially the 3L version.
Can not confirm, I did a race with the new F1 car at Imola and was able to dial in the AI strength properly.

It is good to see the sim being updated. From a personal point of view I dont play this sim as often as I used to.Not really a fan of open wheel content so the F1 & Indycar stuff is not for me.
Obviously the old Spa & Nords are going to get me interested again but think a more focused approach as per the older Indycar content would be good. The reason ACC is so good is because they have the complete series with all the cars.So I would suggest what would be popular would be:
60s GT (E Type,GTO,Daytona Cobra)
70 Trans Am (Javelin,Camaro,Cudas,Mustang)
90s BTCC Super Touring
70s Group 5
80s Group 1 (Capri,Rover,Golf Gti)
60s/70s Can Am

I realize this probably has appeal to older people like me but AMS just offering the same GT3/GT4/TCR content everyone else offers is not going to make the title unique & offer something the others already offer & mostly do better.

That's what is missing yet and some dirt tracks, right? I don't remember exactly what
else they announced to complete the simulator...

.......and "Single Player Career Mode" is still "Chop Liver" with no new updates whatsoever on this announced feature two years ago..........Total Silence! SMH

A WSC 70s game like ACC would make be insta buy such a product. The track list alone for such a game would make it no brainer.
Absolutely 100 percent agreed! If AMS2 wants to make the next step, they need to do this. Right now historic endurance racing is a niche no sim fullfills (except gtr2). We could have different eras of the world sports car championship. Starting from 1967 and then maybe 1971, 1980s, and then end of group C. Just imagine how awesome such a sim would be. For multiplayer they could also have bop to balance all the group c cars so kinda like a group c gt3.

But WHY NO VR MIRROR FIX for this car? This was and now still is the biggest problem of this car, it's now still unusable in VR and it's already reported many times.

For the rest great update, the Ginetta G55 and Porsche Cup are amazing now, thanks!
