Colin McRae Bonus Content Offered for WRC 10 Pre-Orders

Players who pre-order their copy of the upcoming WRC 10 game will get the chance to drive Colin McRae's 1997 Subaru Impreza WRC at the Rally Sanremo.

Building up to their September 2nd release of WRC 10, developer Kylotonn has offered a bonus for those pre-ordering the game. Players will get to race at the Rally Sanremo in Colin McRae's 1997 Subaru Impreza WRC.

KT Racing (Kylotonn) has leaned heavily into WRC’s 50th anniversary for the forthcoming title, offering players a chance to race many classic rally scenarios including Acropolis, San Remo, Germany and Argentina, along with classic rally cars from Alpine, Audi, Lancia, Subaru, Ford, Mitsubishi and Toyota.

WRC 10 has fans of the series anxiously anticipating the release of the title for several reasons. In addition to the inclusion of the 2021 WRC season’s 52 official teams from WRC, WRC2, WRC3 and Junior WRC, the title will also feature 4 new rallies in Estonia, Croatia, Belgium and Spain. This year’s edition also received a high-profile endorsement from none other than Sebastien Loeb, which you can read about in Steve’s WRC 10 article from last month. Lastly, the release of the title in early September will be followed shortly by the 2021 WRC eSports finals in Greece.

The official WRC Game Twitter account sent out a supplemental tweet after the initial announcement tweet had prompted some users to respond that pre-orders weren’t available on all PC platforms. The second tweet noted that the Colin McRae bonus would be “free for everyone who purchased the Standard or Deluxe Edition in the first two weeks of release (until September 16)”.

Let us know in the comments below if you’re excited to try WRC 10 next month, and if you plan to pre-order.

Unless they're discounting there doesn't seem to be any advantage of pre-ordering as opposed to buying the game within 2 weeks of the release date.

RDRC will not happen until winter anyway at the earliest, and it is unlikely that it will use WRC 10.

In fact, the whole RDRC-crew is finally back to somewhat normal work "after" covid. So it's depends on time as well. We genuinely spend 30hrs-ish a week on avg. on it. That's not compatible with normal full-time job.
Yeah that's understandable. Prioritize the more important things in life, Ole.

Didn't realize that Dirt 2 had so many unhappy customers, I thought it was one of the better rally titles to date with physics and graphics.

Although I have not tried any of the WRC series, as I have not seen in my usual "You Tube homework before I buy" reasons to get this title yet) I might however give it a try, but wont be swayed by any buy now hype ... we'll include this ...?

Deliver a good sim with little to no bugs and make it believable and the sim will sell itself. Give us your typical rehash of the previous title with little to no benefit of upgrading and people wont buy again.

I think this is the last WRC game by Kyloton before Codemasters take over the WRC license?

Codemasters will unfortunately have the license in 2023 and it's now 2021 !
Do the math !

"NACON and KT Racing are also taking this opportunity to announce the continuation of their licensing agreement with WRC Promoter until 2022 for the development and publishing of WRC 10 and WRC 11."

Always makes me laugh when people say this, considering the DR2 stages are real world roads, where as the WRC games are just completely fictional.
It would be one thing if Codemasters roads looked like it was from real world roads but it's pretty obvious that it's enough saying they are from real world roads for all the fangirls !

There's a huge majority who have no clue but have strong opinions so you're in good company !

I have far more of a clue than you do.
