Colin McRae Bonus Content Offered for WRC 10 Pre-Orders

WRC 10 Pre Order Bonus 01.jpg
Players who pre-order their copy of the upcoming WRC 10 game will get the chance to drive Colin McRae's 1997 Subaru Impreza WRC at the Rally Sanremo.

Building up to their September 2nd release of WRC 10, developer Kylotonn has offered a bonus for those pre-ordering the game. Players will get to race at the Rally Sanremo in Colin McRae's 1997 Subaru Impreza WRC.

KT Racing (Kylotonn) has leaned heavily into WRC’s 50th anniversary for the forthcoming title, offering players a chance to race many classic rally scenarios including Acropolis, San Remo, Germany and Argentina, along with classic rally cars from Alpine, Audi, Lancia, Subaru, Ford, Mitsubishi and Toyota.

WRC 10 has fans of the series anxiously anticipating the release of the title for several reasons. In addition to the inclusion of the 2021 WRC season’s 52 official teams from WRC, WRC2, WRC3 and Junior WRC, the title will also feature 4 new rallies in Estonia, Croatia, Belgium and Spain. This year’s edition also received a high-profile endorsement from none other than Sebastien Loeb, which you can read about in Steve’s WRC 10 article from last month. Lastly, the release of the title in early September will be followed shortly by the 2021 WRC eSports finals in Greece.

The official WRC Game Twitter account sent out a supplemental tweet after the initial announcement tweet had prompted some users to respond that pre-orders weren’t available on all PC platforms. The second tweet noted that the Colin McRae bonus would be “free for everyone who purchased the Standard or Deluxe Edition in the first two weeks of release (until September 16)”.

Let us know in the comments below if you’re excited to try WRC 10 next month, and if you plan to pre-order.

There is and always will be a direct correlation between devs trying to bribe you to pre-order a game, and the game being utter sh!t on release. How many times must you be disappointed before you learn your lesson?
Stop. Pre-ordering. Games.

Would love to play this game, but sadly no VR. I think rally is the racing sim that benefits the most of the immersion. Loved wrc8 but then bought dirt2.0 and a headset and play now rally exclusively in VR. I find almost everything in the new wrc games better then dirt rally 2.0, especially the single player content and the licens. But Rally in VR is so much fun

That was the Toyota Celica - as the car was banned because the team were cheating, I’d suggest it’d be unlikely it’s included. The earlier model celica may well be though.

I’ll probably give WRC10 a whirl, I’m a sucker for anything McRae so I look forward to seeing that content. Will I pre order though? Probably not.
Oh right, Celica not Supra. I didn't know it was banned but if that's the reason it's been absent from every rally game since, that's a shame.

Where are the 6-spoke or 8-spoke rims on the Subie? Never seen those one the picture in real life attached to a Subaru :p

[edit] Ow i see, San Remo 1997 version. Never seen it before, i don't like it ;)

No no no, that's really not what happened! The Toyota factory team was banned for 1 and a half years, but the car itself wasn't, it was in use by independent drivers all over the world until it became obsolete naturally. For example Juha Kankkunen was driving the same car in the same Castrol colours in 1996 (the year after the restrictor plate incident), but in '96 he was running under the banner of various satellite teams (Toyota Castrol Finland, Toyota Castrol Sweden, etc.), instead of the factory team. But the car itself was never banned from anywhere, only the factory Toyota team for a short while.

You’re quite right mate - poor explanation from me

Hello, I'm still playing DR2, and WRC9. Plus all the usual suspects of AC/ACC/AMS2/RaceRoom and even some F1 2020. (Sorry gave up on iRacing too many cheats ramming to win).
To be honest I am quite excited about WRC10, it will probably have some quirks but it still looks fun to drive, and I doubt I'll need to keep buying it.. Deluxe/Super Deluxe/Collectors plus more made up titles to make a point.. looking at you unamed game that I have more variants of than Skyrim!
I had/still have a lot of fun with WRC9 (Epic not Steam- but I had to have it), the official stages are great, and it looks really good too. It was my default Rally game for awhile as I couldn't get DR2 to look any good, as it was capped at a maximum of 1080p- until I discovered a post about HDMI2 tv settings that allowed 60k refresh and not 30k- fixed DR2 now in 4k goodness.
Will I pre order? Hmmmm I'm not sure, usually I avoid pre order, I fell for that with DR2, I wish I had waited feeling, but to be honest WRC games I've had better luck with. I'll keep watching the same trailors, keep talking myself out of it, then smash the buy button like I do with every other race game/sim ;)
Have a great evening everyone.

As much as I want to love Rally SIMs I've bought and refunded Dirt Rally 2.0 several times. In part due to motion sickness and also the massive shaking it puts me and my rig through. I won't pre-order WRC 10 but it is on my WISHLIST and I'll likely give it a try when it goes on sale.

Well, here's the problem.. I've been asking these same 3 questions over and over again trying to find out answers and I still haven't got any.. So until I get some freakin answers, I'll just keep driving Richard Burns Rally.

1) Will this game have actual triple screen support?
2)Will it have an actual FOV adjustment and not the sorry excuse for whatever the hell they tried to do with WRC8?
3) Will I be able to use my custom handbrake? There seems to be a lot of problems in past WRC titles when it comes to multiple inputs.
This is it in a nutshell. In 2021, I'm done buying games without triple screen support and/or VR.

You are forgetting...
4) will it support telemetry data output for motion rigs, buttkickers, etc... like any normal sims.
5) will it support Fanatec or any DD wheels natively or we'll be forced to switch to compatibility mode?

I believe there's a demo of WRC10 on Steam. I tried it a whole back and it's not vastly different to WRC9

Yes I have pre ordered and yes I'm excited for WRC 10 , did the E sports as part of a team this year , lots of fun.
Triple screens works fine on WRC 9 , plenty of you tube footage of triple screens and my 2 mates use triple screens and play WRC 9 with no issues. , for me personally I have a 49" Ultra wide and I prefer this .
I purchased Dirt 2 on sale and ended up uninstalling it as the WRC titles are so much better and much more enjoyable to drive.
So if they have made even more improvements WRC 10 should be an outstanding rally game.

My Fanatec DD1 is fully supported in WRC 9 and just worked straight out of the box , no compatibility mode needed , it came up as Fanatec DD1 , I just re assigned some buttons to suit my preference and it has functioned perfectly for the last year.

No matter what happens the DR2.0 snobby crow always comes whenever the WRC series is mentioned.
Just... Just get a grip. DR2.0 ain't that good anyway.

Who's in charge of RDRC I need to know if we're using this game next season

RDRC will not happen until winter anyway at the earliest, and it is unlikely that it will use WRC 10.

In fact, the whole RDRC-crew is finally back to somewhat normal work "after" covid. So it's depends on time as well. We genuinely spend 30hrs-ish a week on avg. on it. That's not compatible with normal full-time job.
