Assetto Corsa Competizione | Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II Confirmed for Challengers Pack DLC

Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II Coming to ACC.jpg
Kunos Simulazioni has revealed the second car that will be included in the upcoming Challengers Pack DLC for Assetto Corsa Competizione: the Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II.

Less than 10 days remain until we'll get our hands on the Challengers Pack DLC for Assetto Corsa Competizione, and Kunos has now confirmed the second car that will be included in the pack.

Last week we learned that the BMW M2 CS Racing would be added to the sim, and this latest news confirms that Audi's newest GT race car will join the GT3 roster for ACC.

Similar to Evo versions of other cars in ACC such as the Ferrari 488 and Lamborghini Huracan, the updated Audi doesn't represent a drastic change from the outgoing (Evo) version. The LMS Evo II offers an improved rear wing and front air intake, plus improved suspension.

Under the hood, its 5.2 litre V10 engine is pumping out 585 horsepower, but the Evo II's torque curve has been tweaked. Fans of the existing Audi and Lamborghini models should have no trouble adjusting to driving the new car, but can likely expect a slightly improved driving experience in the car.

Two more announcements are expected from Kunos in the coming days, which should confirm the Ferrari 488 Challenge and Porsche 992 Cup cars' presence in the Challengers Pack DLC.

Check back with RaceDepartment often for confirmation of the remaining cars and pricing for this DLC or join our ACC Racing Club for great online races. If you have any thoughts on this Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II or anything else ACC related, be sure to let us know in the comments below.

Unfortunately there is none on the entry list for the GTWC Europe this season. Unless a team decides to sneak one into the Spa 24H, or Honda makes an eSports deal it's not likely going to be in the game. My source: YT/watch?v=IpyRhApmC94
Well the nsx is running fort the gtwc América so it could be introduce non?

What is it about Sim-Racing where all the marketing is done by drip feeding tidbits of info here and there.

It doesn't build up anticipation and excitement, it just p***es people off.

To all suppliers of sim racing gear and software - Just inform us of exactly what the product is, give us a release date, and then just STFU.

Maybe they'll include Hockemheim as part of Gtw2022? Kunos told about more american tracks so sure is Austin, will they add Sebring or Sonoma?

I mean, it's pretty obvious what they're doing with their release schedules.

GTWC Europe--get the European tracks.

ICGT--get ICGT tracks

British GT--got British tracks.

Got a tease for COTA a month ago, take a wild guess what all we'll get along with it. Can't be helped that this all had to happen during COVID lockdowns. Fair criticism on the GT4s, but not so much on the circuits.

If it is COTA only, it will be very disappointing.

I really can't accept the COVID lockdown excuses at this point. If they can't get the data, they can hire a surveyor to laser scan the track or have the manufacturer send 3D models and data to them to develop the Supra. In the meantime, they have heaps of time last year to get all the data and references they need when lockdowns are easing.

A lot of us are able to work from home with some limitations, it seemed like Kunos cease to function because of the lockdown.

how many more tracks will we potentially get in ACC....!?! and which are the tracks that will probably come...?

I can tell you're a glass-half-empty type who probably meets every new update with "yea but what about--"

While you lament that a small video game developer would have the audacity to find themselves under lock down during a multi-year pandemic, I'll continue to look forward to GTWC America--and the circuitS (emphasis on the plural) that will come with it.

It's basically the same car... Sadly, ACC is becoming quickly boring with the limited cars and track choice.
ACC is like fine dining. The sim does a handful of things, but does them really well.
Ams, ams2, AC 1 +mods, raceroom, rfactor2, all have a wide variety of vehicles and tracks to choose from at fair prices, and they do it pretty well.
However, if you're expecting anything more than the best gt racing sim from acc, you're looking in the wrong place.

I'm pretty sure they're looking to release the gt world challenge America tracks. Circuit of the Americas has been hinted at, but the current us schedule is

Sonoma, Ozarks, Virginia, Watkins Glen, road America, Sebring, and Indianapolis.
So we'll see!
And seeing that Ozarks isn't even finished yet (last I checked), they're probably doing the 2021 season, which had *drumroll*...

COTA!

Sebring, Virginia, Watkins, very very good selection !

They are no longer a small developer. They are owned by a medium sized publisher that has decent funds. The days of kunos being a small studio with AC is long gone.

They literally sat there and did nothing for the last year. What did they release in 2021 other than M4 GT3?

Huge 1.8 upgrade?
