Career does save but it appears that steam achievements don’t work if you have this mod installed.
Installation
Choose which livery you want, then open the folder named drag and drop. Inside you should see a folder named F1 2018. Copy that folder into your steam directory which should be found at C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common. Once copied, windows will ask you to replace the files. Just click the first option.
