I appreciate the attempt and the upscaled quality of the used textures, but there are a few glaring issues that must be addressed before a higher rating is warranted. Firstly, the skin includes an updated ext_config which overwrites the original. Skins can load their own configs, and as such this should be moved to the skin folder, rather than overwriting the original file, which makes a clean uninstallation impossible. Secondly, there are issues with texture alignment which makes some of the Y trees split in 3. At first glance and in motion it's not very apparent but in screenshots and if looking closely it can jump out. Finally, the skin lacks any normal maps, despite changing the apparent surface shape in some diffuse maps.
Verdict:
Fine for driving, and a welcome change to the familiar look of the track. However, this is at the cost of some material inconsistency and visual artifacts.
