Finally got around to test this again. Seems like you go the bumps under control, good to see, or rather feel, nice playground for all sorts of cars. Scenery is beautiful and just well compositioned, and well "shadered" according to my testing with numerous weather from the G&B Weather mod. Wet version is a funny gimmick but nothing I would try real races on, C lacks real rain simulation for that.

This is one of those tracks that needs 6 stars for being scratch made

Wow, amazing, I really like stars - and six of them, thats the best ! :D But seriously thats one of the best reviews ever, because I had you in mind when I was doing a bit of smoothing in few segments. I thought that you will not like it anyway, because you are most likely into stiff modern racing cars, judging from your mod cars. And bumps will still be there, just a little smaller at few places. I think a few bumps in particular places still could go smaller. But i also think that it is drivable enough, and that you approve it is very important to me. I might still do slight smoothing. But I'm happy to keep authentic mesh, and that I will not have to do compromises :)

Yeah wet track could not meet some. I like to race AI there though. Definitely good practice for car control. And definitely not too slippery. Well perhaps under 90km/h it is too slippery, but above should do. Thats just for fun and placebo. I hope you didn't forgot to look for grip off the normal racing line :)
Absolutely incredible work, with accuracy, graphics, atmosphere etc.

Would it be a big ask to do a No Chicane version though? Yes, it's there since 1952 (only three years without it), but it breaks the excellent flow of the track soo much for me. (Not asking a full historic version - just a new layout, AI, sidelines, with the chicane barriers removed.)

Nah, man, won't happen. Although I think it would be an interesting project to build true to the time period Goodwood, with and without chicane. Also just in my personal taste, super fast tracks with some tight turn or a chicane, oooor some kind of loooooong curve at the end of a lap, are best tracks, best rhythm.
Gem of a circuit, nice work.
Your Making Me Day My Lola Thanks You She Loves this Track
Just tried a few laps with the Ferrari 312/67, feels amazing !
Thx
Coming along nicely pal, the layout and mesh is spot on, few more tweaks and your there. highly recommend, this track drives amazing.
Brilliant.
6 stars from me too - best version by a country mile.
Some vintage aircraft on the strip and it would be like being at the Revival.
Incidentally having been there for the Revival I agree the 2d grass looks right.
This has honestly made AC for me, this is what i've been waiting for since release. My favourite track! Done very nicely and much better than previous incarnations. Can't wait to see future versions as its looking darn good already. :)

Also, wet version of the track is a nice touch, many Kenny Brack-esque moments had!
Great track, much better than the other version. Just need to get the AI working in the pits.
It's amazing with 250gto. Love it <3

Incredible! Driving the 250 GTO around this version of Goodwood Motor Circuit is the most fun I've had behind a virtual wheel in ages. Keep up the fantastic work!
The surface feels great. The graphics are pretty damn good. Everything works as intended. It's a damn good mod.
FANTASTIC!!! THANK YOU!!! ;-/)
Awesome work on the track, but how about some 3d grass to add that final polish ?

Thanks. Trust me there is plenty of final polishing to be done besides vertical grass. Also I'm not sure if I'll be adding 3D grass for the lawn. It is very eavenly cut and low IRL. Also not sure if I could keep stipes looking well. I will be adding 3D grass where there is weeds 10-30cm tall. About very low 3D grass where the lawn is - probably will experiment on it.
Good Track good Job. Thanks for this track
My favorite track by a mile! (no pun intended). A very fast circuit which is great fun in vintage cars!

If anyone knows any groups that race online with this track I would love to be involved.
Extraordinary contribution to the AC community.
This is so much better than the 'old' Goodwood. It feels genuinely fast - frighteningly so! In particular St. Mary's is totally different and quite challenging to get right, just as it should be. Some distance markers would be useful as at the moment I'm using the grandstand as a braking point!

The surface feels fine to me. I'm using the standard FF settings with a Logitec G29 wheel and I have no problem with the feedback or the bumps. Goodwood really is a bumpy circuit and if you stick to the older cars which raced on it in period, it's perfect just as it is. Modern F1 cars won't like it, but they don't race there IRL. It does feel as if the track is very grippy though. I can get away with mistakes on this track which would put me in the wall at Oulton Park. Perhaps it's the Oulton mod which isn't grippy enough - it does seem particularly difficult to get a clean lap.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the spectators arrive for my own version of the Revival. Great work.

Big thanks for nice review :)

I don't think they use braking markers towrds No Name curve, which could be considered as part of St.Mary's. I think it is perfectly good to brake a lttle just after that slight kink, and then turning in super early, in revival and members meeting they are taking this turn with a slight neutral or slighly oversteerish slide, I think thats when the curve is being taken correctly, you can go surprising fast there indeed.

As for circuit being too grippy, I really don't think so, it uses 0.97 friction value, Monza 1966 uses same, Silverstone 1967 uses 0.99. I don't know whats about Oulton mod :) I think grip in Goodwood changes more often than weather haha, when they take the oldest cars around, seems like it is almost a rule that some are spilling some oil. It is remarkable how many cement dust marks there used to be, can be seen in Google earth. Now there are much less.

As for bumps I feel the same way - correct cars feels right. There could be some space for improvement, but it is very close to the real deal I'm sure.

Can't wait to get free time and work on the track further :)
very good , i like goodwood and goodbumps thank you.
Thanks :-) immersive!!! dry and wet :-)
