SEASON SUMMARY:
After the domination of Lotus in the 1978 F1 Championship, and the incredible innovation of Ground Effect, the rest of the teams scrambled to implement Ground Effect into their chassis' for 1979.

At the first race in Buenos Aires, the majority of teams had the new innovation equiped and were ready to take the fight to Lotus. Ligier proved to be the new team to beat with their JS11 chassis, as their drivers' Jacques Laffite and Patrick Depailler qualified 1-2, with the former winning the race.

However, Ligier's dominance would be short lived by the 3rd round in Kyalami, where the brand new Ferrari 312T4 was unveiled. The car was Ferrari's response to Ground Effect. Gilles Villeneuve and Jody Scheckter finished the race 1-2 and blew everyone out of the water.

In the 5th round, the brand new Renault RS10 was unveiled at the Belgian GP. Although it's potential was slow to show, the RS10 proved to be the best car on the grid by the French GP. Jean-Pierre Jabouille and Rene Arnoux qualified 1-2, and Jabouille won the race. However, their cars were horribly unreliable, so Renault failed to consistently score points with front-runners Ferrari and Ligier.

At the next race in Silverstone, a new team took the lead of the fight; Williams with their FW07 chassis. The FW07, like the Renault RS10, was slow to show pace, but proved to be the biggest threat for the World Championship. Alan Jones qualified on pole and Clay Regazzoni won the race in the other Williams.

Although Jones went on to win the next 4 out of 6 races, he ultimatly ran out of time as Ferrari won both championships. Jody Scheckter won the drivers title, with Gilles Villeneuve coming in 2nd. Alan Jones was third in the championship, and in doing so propelled Williams to 2nd in the Constructors. Laffite was fourth in the Drivers, and Ligier finished 3rd in the Constructors.

Looks Decent but the FFB is just wacky for me. Doesn't want to drive straight. Always pulling the wheel hard left or right.
