Hi guys,
This is the 2020 Season The Remake: Quarantine Edition mod for F1 2014 game.
This mod completely transforms the game, the vanilla version is horrendous, but now you'll have 1 of the best gaming experiences with this mod.

HOW TO INSTALL?
Always back up your original game files, this is really crucial in case you delete any key files by accident.
Please use a fresh install of F1 2014 and test that the original game is running properly.

METHOD 1: Drag and Drop
Adding files or folders to an existing folder from a RAR file.

1. Open the RAR file.
2. Navigate to and open the original F1 2014 folder of your game installation.
3. Finally, drag the F1 2014 folder of the downloaded F1 2020 Quarantine Edition Mod and drop it over your Game F1 2014 folder.
4. Select Overwrite Files

METHOD 2: Extracting folders from a RAR file

1. Open the file.
2. Use Explorer to Navigate to the level in which you see the desired F1 2014 folder in your computer. Example: C:\Game\F1 2014\ <Your mileage may vary>
3. Drag and drop EACH folder to the desired location (such as a folder in My Computer or Windows Explorer, the Desktop, or My Documents).
4. Replace the included archives from the downloaded RD file in each F1 2014 folder.
5. Select Overwrite Files

WARNING: DO NOT delete ANY file in F1 2014 and DO NOT DELETE the ORIGINAL TRACKS.

For NEW users installing this MOD for the first time: You will need to create a NEW GAME file since now all teams and drivers have changed. Any previous saved game will be corrupt and will not work with this MOD.

There are 3 different types of databases: Original Tracks Only, Pre-Covid Calendar and Official Calendar. The one packed in the mod is the Official Calendar which has only 17 races. For the other two, you have to get into that folder, copy EVERY ASSET in it and paste into the game directory.

WHAT'S IN THIS MOD?
CARS LIVERIES:
- 2020 chassis and liveries. Due to some teams using rainbow on their livery, which also meant LGBT which is criminalized in certain countries, I've also made the alternative versions without the rainbow.
- New safety car.

ALL PLAYABLE 29 DIFFERENT TRACK MODELS:
- Official Calendar: only 17 tracks, with two Austria's, two Silverstone's and the Bahrain Endurance Circuit for the second Bahrain race.
- Pre-Covid Calendar: 22 official tracks and 6 bonus tracks.
- Original Tracks Calendar: Only the 19 original tracks from 2014.

NOTE: due to the real circuits being impossible to import, the tracks use the stock game models:

1. Portimão is Estoril.
2. Vietnam is Valencia Street Circuit.
3. Paul Ricard is India Track.
4. Mexico is Korea.
5. Baku/Mugello is Malaysia.
6. Zandvoort is Brands Hatch. (or Brandvoort? )
7. Sakhir GP is Bahrain Circuit (Endurance Layout instead, as Outer Layout is unavailable sadly).
8. Imola does not have accurate layout compared to real life.

- All official tracks have better and very realistic sponsor placements, close to reality.
- All cancelled/bonus tracks have 2023/24 sponsors.
- Removed the annoying bollard at Monaco swimming pool chicane.
- New skies.
- As F1 raced in Austria twice in 2020, the original Austria track has been duplicated for the Styrian GP. Same to Silverstone at the Official Calendar option.

DATABASE/CARS AI:
- Updated Database & Tracks.
- Slightly increased damage output to players & AIs.
- Enhanced AI braking points and behavior. AIs are way less likely to brake excessively early at the inside of corners!
- Overhauled handling model for AI and player cars. The cars are now very fast!
- Adjusted AI speed in wet conditions.
- Additional DRS zones for some tracks.
- New cameras.
- New steering wheels.

NEW AUDIO PACK:
- Cars Engine sound updated.
- Added F1 2021 soundtracks to main menu.

LANGUAGES:
The mod is now supported in English only. If you use different languages, you'll get English texts.

APPAREL & GARAGES:
- All the drivers' official 2020 helmets and racesuits.
- Realistic gloves.
- 2020-representative pitcrew, racecrew suits and garages.

UI:
- F1 2013-styled wind tunnel.
- Official F1 font.
- More realistic OSD and steering wheel OCD.
- Lewis Hamilton image in "Can anyone match Vettel?" section.


- Changed teams' miniature cars into logos.


- More realistic physics, visuals and sparks.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. FORGET ABOUT accelerating the time or doing one-shot qualifying, as the laptimes will be ultra-slow.
2. Scenario mode is unplayable.
3. If you play with Pre-Covid calendar, career mode doesn't end in Abu Dhabi, as the number of races per season is capped at 19. This is impossible to fix sadly.
4. If you do Q1/Q2/Q3, there are only 14 cars advancing to Q2 and 8 advancing to Q3. This is hard-coded and can't be fixed unfortunately.

TEAM PERFORMANCES
The field is divided into 3 tiers. All the teams' performances are updated as of the end of 2020 season. I'm trying out the reverse tier system, i.e. Tier 4 is the best and Tier 1 is the worst. Therefore, the pecking order is:

Tier 4: Mercedes, Red Bull
Tier 3: Ferrari, McLaren, Alpha Tauri, Renault, Racing Point
Tier 2: Alfa Romeo, Williams, Haas
