I like the idea and it somewhat transformed the racing experience a lot. But personally, for me, not in a desirable way. I tried to naively introduce the mod into a MyTeam mode season 5. I am actually not sure whether this makes the AI drivers more aggressive (?), but what happened on 108% AI was that the cars in season 5 were SO fast and the slipstream was so overwhelming that they were constantly crashing into one another. I myself got punted from behind like 20 times and found myself needing to resort to flashbacks, which led to an interesting observation: it is common to get taken out by AI drivers in turn 1. If you then accept the DNF, usually only you and the other involved driver DNF. All other cars are fine. On the other hand, I tried 5 races with the mod where I used flashbacks in situations where I didn't cause an accident, and the most cars that finished any race were 7. ..... So, ... yes. For "Season 1" cars this might be fine, but good, hard racing is not to be had in saves that are advanced by a couple of seasons.

If you feel that there is too much DNF in races, then use the version without realistic damage. Just copy mod files again, but from folder called "with default damage".
