Big Owi's All-purpose Neck FX 1.0

Hi there, here is my personal Neck FX settings. Since I'm not specializing in any form of motorsport, so I made an all purpose Neck FX settings that cover all type of vehicle or any type of disciplines.

I'm not intending to make it like IRL "POV" or helmet cam video you see on the net. My main goal is to increase visibility (i usually run 32 - 34deg POV, on my 34" ultrawide monitor) while drifting, add a sprinkle sense of longitudinal g-force, reduce the vertical jitter for a tad bit but still keeping the surface characteristics, and in short : keep overall "head movement" not to erratic until it's dizzying.

So the movement is not as visceral or "immersive" like some setup shared here. that's some subjective opinion. but I'm not too comfortable using too many movements on cockpit cam.

Therefore, here's my setup.

Installation Setup
  • Make a backup of your default Neck FX on Documents/Assetto Corsa/cfg/extension/neck.ini
  • Extract the archive "neck.ini" file to that folder
  • OR : use this link Big Owi All-purpose Neck FX
Thanks

I think it is excellent setup (I assume you don't use "replace with a custom script option"), I think these two tweaks make this even better:
1. G-force influence fast response fading setting to 20% - this will stop the big boat feel for bumps and will make a feeling of a car better - it is more like a speed boat now.
2. Second tweak is to stop the head tilting so much that on steep hills the track vanishes behind the dashboard (you drive blind) - change slow response gain to 0.005, 0.15, 0.02
Feels perfect for me. highly recommend trying this out if you're not sure how to work Neck FX
I can't believe I'm the first one to write a review. Your setting is THE setting I was looking for. Not too immersive, no big moves of the head that make you feel like you're in the middle of sea on a rescue boat. I use a gamepad and with your setting driving onboard is smooth and enjoyable. Great work and thanks for sharing.
