Readme – Alfa Romeo GTAm
The Alfa Romeo GTAm is a car that stirs emotions, especially with diehard Alfa fans. In a 100 year celebratory poll – it was voted the best Alfa ever. What is interesting is that the GTAm is not an official car with an Alfa Romeo model TIPO number, but effectively an option package for the 1750GTV (American Spec) 105.51.XXXXXX which leads many to refer to the Am as America – while others say A (lightened) m (enlarged). Later Euro spec 105 GTVs 105.44.XXXXXX cars were also converted. For the record, I am not entering into the debate on the meaning of GTAm.
The general understanding is up to 15 Autodelta cars were built and a number of private cars totalling about 40 from 1969-197X. Weights vary upon the year raced (<980) and up to 240HP was obtained from the 1985-1999cc engine (based on the 1750 but with monosleeve). This mod is based a combination of specs – but is a good match for the RS2600 Ford Capri (early model) in GTL.
As modders, it is with some trepidation that we tackle this project – a lot of people have opinions on this car – but here it is.

At this point we would like to thank the follow people who contribiuted to this project:
papag21 – whose tremendous effort has resulted in the 3D model and its numerous variations. He complete numerous revisions and put in a massive effort which allowed the group of people mentioned below to complete the GTAm. Also made icons, biks, suits+helmets and skins.
greg7 – has been extremely helpful. Not only did he make the firestone tyre files for the GTAm, he also did extensive testing and gave feedback on the physics sent to him. Without his help I would have been lost. I really trust his judgement after many hours driving his BMW 2800CS – a truely great mod.
Crocko 05 – Who completed the original physics (HDC, sp, eng, grb, car etc) based on Muscle Car Masters GTAm and were initially used and refined with his permission to complete this mod.
Crocko 05 and metalgear – who allowed the use of their Alfa Romeo GTAjr (junior) physics to be used – the sp model in the GTAm mod is an edited version of the GTAj ‘s. The GTAj is a mod I have always enjoyed driving lots.
dbstreet – who completed cockpit style1,3 and numerous skins used during the development of the mod.
TICTOC – some early skins, texturing and ideas
BigRon – who gave permission for his wheels to be used, and although they have not been included – they were used in the development of this mod
Nappe1 – who supplied information and confirm other information when needed.
fisheracing – who has made the backfire, found showroom problem solution
Kiwisteve – who has worked hard on improving templates, textures, bodylines and much more. Quite a few skins too.
Whoops – skins
gravin – final physics editing (sp, HDC, eng and grb) and testing
DucFreak – who published an amazing soundpack for the GTL Alfa GTA and is used for the GTAm and GTA junior.
Drat - for pointing the "floating car" issue
