Aintree, Liverpool, UK 
Home of the British Grand Prix for 5 years,1955,57,59,61 and 62 and of course many other great events have been held there, and to a small degree still are held there.
This is a GPL conversion to GTL, originally created by BIAS, and a fantastic job he made of it. Converted with his full permission and input via photographs, movies and comments.This version has been a long time coming, due to much work commitment, for others.
Much work has gone into this conversion in an attempt to get it as near as possible correct.( watch out for Moss's gatepost he he )
This is not meant to represent any particular year, (but the race time and date are as 1955 British GP) but is based on an Aintree revival in the style of the Goodwood revival.
Thanks must also go to Motorfx who's help, technical knowledge and friendship are invaluable, also Davidwright lo67 for help with more video footage, also Cammel for further testing.
The GTR2 version will probably follow shortly.

Striped skies fixed
Drive through walls/barriers
timing lights
pitlane
Lod in/out on lots of objects
many texture changes
ai tweeked
many more duplicate faces removed/ normals fixed
mip map changes
overall bias changes
works in all dx levels
track lighting improved further
and lots and lots of time.
the pit lane MUST BE DRIVEN for timing to work correctly, that is drive the full pitlane entry and the full pitlane exit.
The pit bays are historically correct, and the cars drove straight out onto track, we can not do this in GTL.
