Interesting how no one uses the action camera either...

I always use the action camera in an F3000. Whenever I play rFactor I sometimes try to simulate an onboard camera like the action camera.

I prefer cockpit view as it gives me a real feel of the car. Some cockpits are not that good though and i seem lost and struggle to find a good racingline. I revert to hood cam in those cases. Tried driving the Epsilons from cockpit view? Can't see anything!

Also my TrackIR is most useful in cockpit view :drool:

I do the same as you Helge as far as views, only I use FreeTrack.

Ahh man I love the cockpit view for the EEs! The interior is just awesome. I can personally see perfectly in it.

Same here. GT4 could have done well with a cockpit view.

I like cockpit view and action cam, Action cam in the e30 M3 around the Nords is awesome. Feels like I'm watching the vids of them racing back in the day.

Cockpit. I don't know how to describe it, but in a closed-wheel car using other views, the driving experience feels "numb". ie. I don't have as much of a feel for where the wheels are pointing if I can't see the steering wheel in-game. That's also why I race with the visible wheel as well...

I always use cockpit view, real mirrors, visible steering wheel. In real life we sit in cockpit also, so it gives a good angle of view And I like the interiors of the cars.

I used to race with Swingman view but since the last month I switched to cockpit view and basicly made it a mandatory for myself.
After all it is simracing and now I can't see myself doing another view tbh.
Well in Race 07 that is.

In GT5 prologue I use bonnet view and in Rfactor with the openwheels like CART factor I use the T cam.

I use all camera views on all track and cycle/use certain views for certain corners. It does keep you busy much like a F1 steering wheel but for my personal application I've found far too many benefits than doing it otherwise

The only car I can't drive in cockpit is the Lister, because of the right driving position. I just can't! I go over the grass all the time, I just lose myself...

since accolades original Test Drive i am a truly cockpit driver never raced with the other cams
ofc i testet them but i cant get in grip with these views the real feel i have only with cockpit view

Cockpit view. Always.
Pumped up the values in .PL so that the virtual head moves as if it was my own.
100% movement, turn and roll to apex and so forth.
I cant feel the car in other views.
But Im not that fast so maybe Ill try hood...
