    I seem to remember reading somewhere that driversuits are not needed to convert from 2012 to 2013, is that right?

    I'm redoing/converting my F1 2011 pack for 2013. Would save me some work if driversuits can be used from the old pack.

    Yes driver suits for cars that were in GSC2012 can be carried over with no changes. As can glass textures, Mini and StockV8 helmets, and StockV8 cockpits. Skins and open wheel helmets need updating using the conversion pack.

    GSC mods & skins here

    But that F1 2011 skin pack of mine is for GSC2012, will work in 2013 version but cars are too shiny. I'll release GSC2013 version of it in a week or so.

    Just had a play with the skins, thought it best to let loose with it..:redface:
    Do we still save them the same as other sims, im used to working with Race 07 GTL skinning
    I use Gimp export to DDS
    BC1 / DX1 for the body
    BC3 / DX5 for the windows

    DX5 for everything else but driver. DX1 for driver.

    do you add the alpha layer like you would when doing windows, or is it a simple export to DX5

    Car body etc have alpha layer already added so just save as dds DX5 ARGB 8bpp interpolated alpha. That's what it is in photoshop, not sure about gimp, but point is that only windows needs alpha layer added.

    It was all ultra reflective the first time i saved it now it crisp and clean.. :)

    Install 3Dmax, or another 3D editor that can read max files

    Can't open the Pug or Chev body PSD files in PAINT.NET for some reason, it just says "There was an error opening this file", everything else in the folder opens fine. Tried a couple of rF2 templates and they opened no problem.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    I use Gimp Calum that works ok,
    And im Just getting used to photoshop, :)

    I just downloaded the Stock V8 and Formula Reiza templates and I'm going to start making my new skins right now.
