After a long time of no competitions it is time to hotlap again with RACE 07! With just one car to be selected everybody has a fair chance in winning a copy of GTR Evolution that will upgrade your game with some nice GT cars and the Nurburgring Nordschleife.

    Who can participate?
Simple, everybody that has RACE 07 installed can participate. If you have a forum account at RD you are ready to rock & roll.

    Competition details
    Server name: RACEDEPARTMENT RANK
    Car: Peugeot 407 (WTCC 2007)
    Track: Monza 06
    Qualy: 30 minutes
    Mode: Timetrial mode
Competition start: Friday January 29th 2010
Competition end: Friday February 5th 2010
    Leaderboard: click here
    Password: winevo

So undust that copy of RACE 07, go online into the lobby, look for the server RACEDEPARTMENT RANK, fill in the password (winevo) and start doing your laps. You can run as many laps as you like! The server is online so you can start right now!

Good luck and use this thread to report your laptimes and bragging is allowed

Note: the winner of the competition needs to save his hotlap.vcr file! If you can't send it you can't win!

All i can tell you from being out there is don't get your tire to close off the rumble strip (the green part on the outside of the rumble strip) thats a the best i can tell you.

i'm sure 1'58''8 is not enough... i can better that lap by at least one tenth, but then the limit is very close for me. i will try again in the next days

You can't cut of course, RD rules always: keep between the white lines. Cutting is lame :)

Ok, just had a spin round the track and managed a 02:03.177. Not fast I know but this was keeping all 4 wheels within the white lines. Was using Bram's setup he posted, nice 1 Bram, but I thinks I need to tweek it a bit to suit me driving style.

Just a quick question, can we aleast go over some kerbs with 2 wheels or must all 4 stay within the white lines?
Ok just another quick question, will anyone be brave enough to post their replay........ :)

Is the server recording our fastest lap and that one being automatically posted to the results here or... are we to go through our replay and pick our fastest lap that's within bounds and post it here?

Yes fastest times will display on the leaderboard over night. And you don't need to post a replay here Dennis, only if you are the winner in the end to check the lap's legality (no cutting etc). :)

    I'm really just curious but....
If a fastest lap by a driver is disqualified after viewing his replay will the win go to the next driver and his fastest server recorded lap or could possibly another lap, a legal lap, by the driver be used to take the win?

I mean, if everyones fastest lap but mine is checked and found to have cut the track too much at some point, do I have a chance of winning or will the win go to the fastest uncut lap that someone can provide a replay for?
