Did you make a backup of the original b_nonpersistent.pssg file? If you did, backup the original one and start all over again. I think it's all the textures inside the file are errored so you have to start over.

Hey did you save the files under the right format?

.DDS DTX3 for example?

if you look in the PSSG editor, if the file looks a bit weird youmightve done something wrong

How can I change Gerhard Berger to Eddie Irvine
for the Ferrari F310 - 1996?,
I've managed to change the following through edits of
database.bin and language_eng.lng files,
but I can't find anything relating to Gerhard Berger for the Ferrari F310 - 1996
only the Ferrari F1-87/88C - 1988

Alain Prost to Niki Lauda (Ferrari 312 T2 - 1976)
Alain Prost to Clay Regazzoni (Ferrari 312 T2 - 1976)
Alain Prost to Carlos Reutemann (Williams FW07B - 1980)
Mario Andretti to Johnny Dumfries (Team Lotus 98T - 1986)
Emerson Fittipaldi to Ayrton Senna (Team Lotus 98T - 1986)

Well it seems both Berger names are linked in the language_eng.lng you change

db_Gerhard
db_Gerhard_lc
db_Berger
db_Berger_lc

and it effects both F1-87/88C and F310
each driver is given an id in the database.bin,
you change the id and it changes the driver?, same for editing their nationality.

short_name_string_id = BER88
f1driver / id = 80

the F1-87/88C has a team id of 34

Classics2.XML lists driver_name = BER96

problem is I can't any reference to the 90s drivers or teams in the
database.bin only 2013 and 80 under f1drivers and f1drivers_f1teams.

I figured it out
in order to overwrite the '96 Gerhard Berger you'll need to alter
the '88 Gerhard Berger entries in the database.bin

first_name_string_id = 88GB-Forname
surname_name_string_id = 88GB-Surname

now create these in the language_eng.lng

db_88GB-Forname = GERHARD
db_88GB-Forname_lc = Gerhard
db_88GB-Surname = BERGER
db_88GB-Surname_lc = Berger

Once you've done that you can now use the following to change
the '96 Gerhard Berger in the language_eng.lng

db_Gerhard = EDDIE
db_Gerhard_lc = Eddie
db_Berger = IRVINE
db_Berger_lc = Irvine

Delete the modded files then run verify in steam it should redownload the original missing files.

Check the modified dates of the files / folders,
mods should have dates newer or older than the majority of your files, use F1_201?.exe to find out when you installed it and the other unmodded files should of been written to the hdd the same day.
