TITLE DOUBLE AS McNAMARA WIN ON HOME SOIL
James McNamara added yet another hat trick to his record season, leading 2KF1 to it's first FFG Constructors Championship. Another dominating win, the title was more or less sealed, yet again, when a failure for Jack Laskey took him out of the running in his DTK. The win now also leaves McNamara on the cusp of breaking the 300 point mark with just the Brazilian GP to come.
Jordan Bradford blew open the race for third overall by taking second position in his Falcon, while his rivals lagged behind. He was ahead of Manolis Sigoulakis, the Greek driver hitting form more reflective of earlier this season in the past two races now.
Daniel Harvey could do little as he battled onwards for DTK in fourth, keeping Dani Tottos behind on the final laps. Stephan Bohner made it six points finishes in a row, a prolific run which has setup BRT nicely, ahead of Tim Engberink and Hugo Rossello. Rui Martins was across the line in ninth as he joined the celebrations at the Australian team, while Tapio Rinneaho denied Nathan Cornes a well earned point late in the race.
Other finishers were the aforementioned Cornes, Damian Son, Joseph Wright, Omer Said, Andrea Dovizioso, Rob Sharp, Carlos Rodriguez and Matthew Allington. Laskey dropped out due to a transmission failure, while accidents for home town hero Luke Rosella and Chris Guardian book ended Ben Utzer succumbing yet again, this time to a puncture.
Next round is the Brazilian GP from Interlagos. Marketplace closes 10am Sunday AEDT.
