F1 2017 Modding Questions Thread

Hey, I'm trying to modify the performances of my cars. Ideas I have are inspired by this video:

And include DMG Mori Porsche coming into the sport and being up there with the top 3 F1 teams right away and Sauber Alfa Romeo being massively improved to the point that they're dicing in an ultra-competitive midfield with Renault and company. Any performance modders willing to help me out?

Hey, I'm trying to modify the performances of my cars. But Mercedes performance was normal so I edited all Mercedes vtf in alle other cars and now it works, but the game freezes and crashes after a few rounds. When somebody knows a Fix for this. Tell me. (Sry for the language. I'm not from an english speaking country.)

Hello , i got a strange probleme, in practice session i can use a single flashback but if i use a second the game just crash and i don't know why .. I just use the mod of f1 fantasy season. Thank you (im not english)

Hey, I've buffed mclaren to be one of the top teams. However they keep having reliability issues and I am unsure what I've changed for them to be this way. Alonso DNF 4 races in a row because of the reliability problems.

What would need to be done to move Riccardo to Renault? Was wanting to move palmer to red bull as that's what I will be driving in career and replace him. Was wanting to do a full move of the face texture and car number. Also would it be able to save afterwards. Heard that if the number is changed it wont save.

Is there a way to get the speedometer in cockpit cam? It's present in all other camera views but somehow not in cockpit mode. I got this mod and it allows for proper simracing cockpit view including correct fov. But as a downside a good portion - often the gear/speedo - is left out. So the regular speedometer from the other cams would come in handy.

I found an interesting thing. At:
ferrari.erp\PKG file\lotus-carmodel.layer
there is a line:
"vtfAsset": "stripe raid://f1_2017_vehicle_package/teams/lotus/handling/lotus.vtf"
If you change it to another team, the balance between drivers will change.
I think it's probably a balance and not a performance driver. But Palmer will catch up to Hulkenberg

what's the exact name and location of 2017 f1 drivers suit?

incardriver file just contain cap file for every spesific pilot but it called cap and doesn't look like suit .that could be suit of drivers or something else? I can't find drivers suit file.

I think it is in the incardriver file. Scroll all the way to the bottom and they are called teamname and livery
