AC DRM Revival @ Circuit de la Sarthe (Le Mans) - Fri 15Jun18

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
O7JjTvq.jpg

The wait is over and now it's time to have a Revival. With the release of the great work from the DRM Modding Team we get to experience these fire breathing beasts with giant turbos, a lot of lag, accelerators that feel like detonators and the sound of the blow off valves huffing a puffing themselves to death.

In celebrating the most famous sportscar race, Le Mans, we'll be taking these beasts to Circuit de la Sarthe. Going down Mulsanne with the Porsche 935 K3 and BMW M1 Turbo is going to be seriously fast!

The race will be 75 minutes with a mandatory pitstop between 5 and 70 minutes.

Special thanks to @Bobby Pennington for the awesome screenshot used in the cover photo :)

Drivers, since this is a multi manufacturer event, please have your car choice in by Thursday 17:00 EDT | 21:00 GMT | 07:00 AEST to guarantee your car selection so we can finalize the server. Late sign up get what's left on a first come first served basis. Thank you for understanding.
A message to all Drivers
If you run off track, you have to check and see that its clear before you re-enter the track. Do not just keep the gas pinned and pull back on track.
When entering the track from the pits stay off the racing line until you are up to speed and do not race on your out lap. Let other drivers by in qualifying.
On re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car. Remember, you've made the mistake by going off so let them by cleanly.
Golden Rule
  1. Be 100% sure it's not your fault and just carry on like nothing happened and take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Play on the safe side and wait for the affected drivers, knowing 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a complete lift of the gas please if it is safe to do so.
    You will be penalized if you break our rules
Note: Please use your full real name in teamspeak. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium member.

Is there any chance like the last time we raced the DRM Revival cars @ Riverside to also have these two installed:

official real skins:
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/drm-revival-real-skin-pack.20506/

real car names patches:
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/drm-revival-real-in-game-names.20618/

The car name patches are especially cool as there are 4 options included in the pack:
"drm_ui_real_names_drm_brand -> changes the GUI names, uses DRM brand
drm_ui_real_names_car_brand -> as above, uses manufacturer brand
drm_data_real_names -> changes the in-game names
drm_data_default -> restores to default in-game names"

The first two options are fully compatible with all online servers that do not use this patch (only in the car selection screen will the cars be named under their real names).
The third option even corrects the cars names in the timing sheets and every other place in game but for online racing the server has to have that patch installed for compatibility.
The fourth option is just a fallback option if you have installed option 3 and want to race online on a server which does not have this patch installed but uses the mod's fantasy names instead.

Having this 4-way patch handy is really cool as you can run the proper names at all times and yet can fall back to stock fantasy names whenever you need by the drop of a patch within seconds if you need to.

The skin pack would be nice to have on the server and clients as this would give some lucky people the chance of racing with the actual real skins like these:

Yep, we can use the real skins for sure. For the car names, we can only recommend using the first option which modifies the car name in the menus but not in game. Otherwise, a certain Italian manufacturer could give RD and the DRM guys legal trouble
