So what do you think of your wheel?
I'm a Race-Series player and my laptimes didn't change alot, simply because there aren't 4 seconds left
Ok, what time can you do in a WTCC car at Monza 07?
My best was 2m01.3, but very hard to repeat, my average best time would be more like 2m02.
I saw someone do a 159xx, and I lock the brakes all over the place, so I think a G27 should get me close to 159xx.
I can't serve with that one, cause I avoid Monza as much as I can, I don't like the track.
+ I don't drive touring cars very often
Keep in mind that getting used to the setup you are using is going to be what will keep you from getting down to that time quickly. You have to get the feel for what the pedals give you and get used to the exact place where the wheels lock up. This for most people doesn't happen over night and may require as much as a month or two depending on how much time you devote to practicing.
What about F3000 at Imola 06...?
I can't get past 1m37, but I've seen a 1m34flat, and a handful do 135's
Sounds like you might well see an improvement quickly, though it also sounds like it is your specific pedal set that is the issue. I have a DFPro, and it uses the same pedal set. I don't have issues with brakes locking all the time and I am able to out brake some of the best at times who use G25's, G27's and CSP pedal sets.
Do you have any legitimate criticism other than "not G27 so sux lololol"? Some of us can't afford to just drop $200+ on what is, in the end, an expensive toy...DFGT HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA....that's my opinion.
It won't be too long before I'm just 1 second behind Horus3000 in the F3000, and as far as I can tell, he's the fastest F3000 driver on the pub Evo servers.
The g27 is far from perfect, but one thing's for sure, it's MUCH faster than the crappy DFGT which only has merit as a simcade wheel.
To put it into some perspective...here are my best times on this equipment
F3000 Instanbul 06
xbox pad....1m46
DFGT.........1m41.6
DFGT sponge brake mod....1m41.1
G27 a few days ownership....1m40flat.
See the trend guys....

So while I'm never going to say that the DFGT is a better wheel, if you want something adequate for GT5 it's perfectly good. If you want to race iRacing competitively then you're better off going with something of G25/27 level or better.
