Having had a bit of conversation regarding gfx ini tweaks and the like.

I decided to showcase examples of changes to GSC through various methods. Captured at the same 2 light point for accuracy, 7pm ai ring, 21 AI, maxed gfx in game, apart high shadows, 1080p)

    Points of mention:
    - x8 AA looks the same as x4 AA through NVidia CP (to me)
    - No difference of fps using NVidia CP
    - Crowds in stand on far left different with NVidia CP as is texture shading on floor next to right wheel (what setting could be this?)
    - No difference with Config tweak

    Vanilla:

    No Antaliasing:

    Sweetfx dll added (applied herein):

Shader set to quality in GSC (applied herein)::

GSC config tweaks (cpu/obj set to 5, mem adjusted etc):

Max setting (aprx) set through Nvidia manage 3d setting:

DSR x4.0, smoothing 50%, AAx4 set through Nvidia manage 3d setting:

DSR x4.0, smoothing 50%, AAx4 set through Nvidia manage 3d setting, in game dpi 3840:

Perhaps you can cut a small box of each pic to show us differences ;-)

    exactly theryre so subtle lol

open up these, high res then save to your cpu, then use preview to flick thru them.

DSR works great on my 780. The fps hit was barely noticeable for me when on the track (replays struggled at times). Definitely worth trying as it's the simplest method by far.

Is that 4x on DSR with 33% smoothing?

    Yep, but with 0% smoothing.

However I wouldn't say the result is that much better than what can be achieved with other methods in this thread. DSR mainly offers simplicity if you have enough power to run it. It's basically brute force supersampling under a different name.

  7. isnt it a little too jaggy at 0%?

dsr is only avalaible as a global change and not to the gsc profile.on mine

  9. first you set it in the global setting. then you run the gsc config file a choose the higher resolution

To be honest I've tried all settings and I just now use supersampling from nvidia control panel with full aa in game and that looks sweet to me.

sorry I just tried this with 4x aa, smoothing 50, 4x res and it didn't look any better. than just the normal game x4 aa.

added example above also note fps is lower. Note AA was disabled in game.

jim af x16 in game,aax4 in CP..

only thing replays do dive bomb in fps, so not sure that little extra bit of definition in the background Is worth it across the board.

Yeah I use adaptive sync but the DSR drops it from a nice 61 down to 53 so I'm not going to keep bothering with it just for a little change.

bloody clever piece of software vo...

not sure how that will do in shadow of mordor vo, mine runs ultra at around 60 (not HD textures), not sure this will help lol

I found the same. Replays took some savage fps drops so, as good as DSR looks, I'm not sure if I will be running it full time.

Also, you can try running 4x DSR with no AA at all and AF at 16x. Still looks good to me.
