isnt it better to have first a big pre-qualification system to get the drivers in the fixed group.
So the faster drivers are togheter and the non-aliens also. Could be better so in each group you have close combats for the points.
And at the end of the season the top 5 drivers of each group drive the last race to see who is the overall champ.

Maybe the idea of petr is also nice, but I think when somebody of group 1 cant make the race he drops into group 2. But week after he wins again and is back in group 1. How about the points and the ranking of that driver?

I still loved the last year race format. At least I knew I am racing guys that are roughly the same speed.

Or do it this wy around: before round 1 a hotlap qualy. Based on the qualy results drivers sorted into divisions. Then first 4 from one division get promoted to the higher one while 4 slowest get relegated. Newcomers start at the last division and have to work their way up. If you miss the event without excuse, you get relegated to bottom. If you are excused you get relegated one division.

You describe how we did our first season with RACE 06 :) System worked good. Biggest downside is that there are ridiculous point differences after a few races :) Also it doesnt cover dropouts. And it is very labour intensive for the racing staff

RDTCC 2009 - Change of Plans

As announced before the plans for RDTCC 2009 have changed.

About Licenses
Yes, there are going to be licensed leagues in the future and RDTCC is going to be the first one. However the RDTCC licensed league is going to start later on, when the proper structure for it has been set up. There is also going to be an RDTCC unlicensed league, or more specifically: two. The Saturday Cup and the Sunday Cup. The RACE 07 Cup has been cancelled for now.

The Saturday and Sunday Cup
The Sat/Sun Cup will start in early April and sing-ups will open soon. They will require STCC - The Game and will be Single Driver championships with one single car each. The car will be decided by a poll. RaceDepartment will provide all liveries.

Presence and Absence
No matter how easy we make it for drivers to report their absence, the amount of people that actually report are remains dissappointingly low. Therefore we have decided to move to harder measures.
Every driver, reserver or no reserve, will have to report his presence or absence before a race, even if he is not scheduled to drive. Drivers that fail to do this in time without a valid excuse will be removed from the league. Drivers that don't show up while having signed presence (without valid excuse) will be removed from the league and lose their Racing Club membership.
Presence/Absence will be reported with the RD GPCOS Driver Allocations function.

volvo c30

just a question: how many people are going to pull out if "their" car is not voted?
I don't have a clue and quite frankly I don't care. :laugh2: There is a very realistic chance 'your' car doesn't make it, so before anyone even thinks of participating, let alone voting, he should consider that 'his' car might not make it.
