The drip feeding of content continues for Forza Motorsport, as the Nürburgring Nordschleife will arrive in February 2024.

While the Grand Prix layout of the hallowed German venue is currently present, the northern loop layout was scheduled for spring of this year.

But, instead, it arrives in the winter – a pleasant surprise. However, it does make you wonder about the pre-release claim about re-built circuits. Could this just be the Forza Motorsport 7 representation with a slight spruce-up like the recently released Daytona?

Update 5, proposed fixes

Alongside the new track variation, and likely cars for the Car Pass and re-hashed FM7 models for single-player rewards, Update 5 is set to include a long list of bug fixes.

It’s important to note, however, that this is a proposed list and not quite a guarantee as it stands. We expect a full change log next month, naturally.

A chief complaint since launch has been the replay system, which for all intents and purposes either doesn’t work or does but then crashes the game. Saved a multiplayer race replay? Forget it.

Forza Motorsport February 2024 Update 5

The current list does not categorically state that recaps of online races will now work, sadly, although crashes during replay access should be reduced at least.

Skipping the interminable practice sessions is set to be more straightforward, with an option before the session as opposed to within the on-track pause menu.

Rejoice, you should also be able to paint upgraded brake callipers. Yay. But significant changes to the upgrade system, and AI performance, aren’t expected until later updates.

While there are a host of smaller changes, currently in testing are some fixes that will hopefully improve frame rate steadiness on PC. Let’s see if they are successful next month.

Estimated arrival

The work-in-progress list of potential changes for Forza Motorsport is listed below, but we’ll return with the final list and a run-down of all the new content closer to its release.

A date is not yet confirmed, the final car pass release (of four) for Update 4 lands on 8th February, so we would anticipate its release ahead of the 15th.

What would you like to see from Forza Motorsport next? Let us know in the comments below or discuss in our forum.

FM is rubbish, it is amazing that they made a more soulless game than all the other sims combined.

Regret buying this FOMO exploiting trash with awful gameplay.

People enjoying something good in life must be killing you.
Who's life is sad if all fun you have (if you can call it "fun") is just insulting others on the internet? Shrug.

And Featured Italian Cup is a hoot, that Lancia is the best interpretation I've ever driven, what a machine. :inlove:
hahaah, fake happiness ;)

Yeah, you never insult people on the Internet, do you? Every AMS2 thread, there you are calling people AMS2 creeps, or what not. You're a clown and everyone knows it. Accept the truth and fix yourself, instead of projecting your own faults as a human on others.

All the people who actually bought this game deserve to be treated with contempt.

I knew better than to buy it. I knew it was going to be a disaster.

People should of known.

Now they get what they deserve: a broken game and an abusive relationship with an evil corporation they chose to get involved with.

Oh well. Cry me a river suckers.
There are a few problems in the Middle East and this horrible disease called cancer which could do with your godlike powers of prediction.

I wonder how many more Microsoft shill accounts will appear on this thread to defend the indefensible. They are everywhere at the moment. Every gaming forum. Every SM platform. They even comment on threads which have nothing to do with the FM fail.
Is there a "ignore user" options on this forum. If so, we should all use it.

It was pretty fun tossing the Delta around VIR. The game could use more tracks that has you pitching the car from turn to turn.

That series made me realize that the Mazda Familia in the game is AWD. I bought one and built it up. I wouldn't recommend ithers try it cause the car doesn't have the same chops the Intergrale has, but in a single make and model series, the Familia GT-R is alright.

The game has it's moments. I'm waiting to see if update 5 will make a significant difference in FPS performance.

Only in response to one if mod shows inaction on reported post. Do not confuse product criticism with personal attacks and name calling.

I am actually quite happy with the visuals and performance at the moment, hint, do not use the latest NVidia driver (551.23), it's a stuttering mess with broken HDR, 546.65 is good.
RTX is the biggest performance offender for very little visual improvement, so it's off for good for me.
- DLAA on
- DLSS dll 3.5.10
- DLSS Tweaks with preset F (most stable with the least ghosting)
- 50% sharpness in NVCPL (depending if your monitor is DSC enabled or not, the actually number can vary as sharpening settings are different)
- HDR on in Windows (the only way to make it work in FM)
- All at max (Ultra/High) with RTX off

Benchmarking at 75fps, in races it's usually 70-90 range. (5120 x 1440, 3080Ti)

Bu yes, more optimization is always welcome, as well as better visuals and effects.

I always thought you were just a clueless troll on AMS2 threads but no, you are just genuinely clueless now I've read this.
And not just a troll on RD, i've seen him inject himself in Steam discussion forums too spreading misinformation. I've never seen anyone be so actively useless as this guy. Sad af

You mean this discussion?
I know, horror, 3 pages of people not happy with AMS2 simcade physics.
Call a fire squad immediately.

You guys seem more obsessed with my humble persona than with your precious sim, as my friend TeddyBear would say "sad life". :D

finally someone woke up! also reported lastTuesday at 18:12 with no actions

Thanks

That reminded me to turn Ray tracing back off. I keep turning it on, whishing I still got the same FPS I can get with it off. It's my moment of insanity, I guess. LOL

I am getting around the same FPS though but that is without DLAA. I am not seeing enough of a difference with it on or off, but that is probably because I am running 1080p.

Hopefully the changes and reduction in CPU spikes and additional PC improvements will allow me to get 75ish FPS with RT on. While the difference in visuals isn't big, RT on does a slightly better job with lighting conditions. Sunny days or breaks in the clouds are brighter and I find the colors to be a little more vibrant overall but, it's still not worth the 20 - 30 FPS hit.

FM forgets controller settings with every start and resets graphics with every update.
I loved the most recent list of fixes which touted a fix for a car which is not in the game and had a date on it of January 2023!
Such attention to detail.

That is not that big of an issue for me. I have some games where I have to fully rebind all the controls and reset the deadzones depending on whats plugged into my PC when I launch the titles. My expierence with FM is, launch the game, open "settings" tab over to input, hold the directional stick right until my preset appears, press the back/escape button/key, press enter to save, proceed playing. It takes me a few seconds to get my wheel, pedals and shifter up an running in Fm23. In PCARS 2, on the otherhand... I ended up uninstalling it due to its inability to bind my wheel in the first place, and I'm using a Fanatec wheel on PC. Figure that one out.

My expierence may not be the same as others when it comes to dealing with binding my controls. But if what I described above is the exact same proceedure done on your end. Then that is making a mountain out of a mole-hill. It takes a hand full of seconds to do what I wrote.
