Earlier than originally anticipated, The Green Hell will arrive next month in Forza Motorsport.

The drip feeding of content continues for Forza Motorsport, as the Nürburgring Nordschleife will arrive in February 2024.

While the Grand Prix layout of the hallowed German venue is currently present, the northern loop layout was scheduled for spring of this year.

But, instead, it arrives in the winter – a pleasant surprise. However, it does make you wonder about the pre-release claim about re-built circuits. Could this just be the Forza Motorsport 7 representation with a slight spruce-up like the recently released Daytona?

Update 5, proposed fixes

Alongside the new track variation, and likely cars for the Car Pass and re-hashed FM7 models for single-player rewards, Update 5 is set to include a long list of bug fixes.

It’s important to note, however, that this is a proposed list and not quite a guarantee as it stands. We expect a full change log next month, naturally.

A chief complaint since launch has been the replay system, which for all intents and purposes either doesn’t work or does but then crashes the game. Saved a multiplayer race replay? Forget it.

Forza Motorsport February 2024 Update 5

The current list does not categorically state that recaps of online races will now work, sadly, although crashes during replay access should be reduced at least.

Skipping the interminable practice sessions is set to be more straightforward, with an option before the session as opposed to within the on-track pause menu.

Rejoice, you should also be able to paint upgraded brake callipers. Yay. But significant changes to the upgrade system, and AI performance, aren’t expected until later updates.

While there are a host of smaller changes, currently in testing are some fixes that will hopefully improve frame rate steadiness on PC. Let’s see if they are successful next month.

Estimated arrival

The work-in-progress list of potential changes for Forza Motorsport is listed below, but we’ll return with the final list and a run-down of all the new content closer to its release.

A date is not yet confirmed, the final car pass release (of four) for Update 4 lands on 8th February, so we would anticipate its release ahead of the 15th.

What would you like to see from Forza Motorsport next? Let us know in the comments below or discuss in our forum.

Even in the current state it's better than iRacing, rFactor2, R3E, and vanilla AC, weather and time of the day effects can be quite dramatic.
Force Feedback is pretty good, so is simplified, but sensible and believable physics.
Driving with SC2 Pro and tactile is very satisfying and reasonably challenging experience.
Is it full blown sim, nope, but it doesn't claim to be one, while offering closer to proper sim racing driving challenge than some other pretend sim titles.
I always thought you were just a clueless troll on AMS2 threads but no, you are just genuinely clueless now I've read this.

I like EA WRC as well, but I prefer Forza because of it's physics, especially the roadcar-content. FFB, motion, tactile feedback feels nice and it IMO delivers the best 'at the limit' feel which is also quite punishing if exceeding. I like that some cars often don't just under- or oversteer, but start lurching, tumbling and you might catch it or get a tank-slapper. And after playing it 75+ hours there was not one car I would say, 'this one can't be true', but I need Nordschleife for a final verdict on car physics.

You can like any game as long as it's AMS2. Got it. :roflmao:

Completely agree, I just don't understand how people cannot see what a great physics engine is running under that simcade skin. T10 did a great job on tire model with this iteration.
Feels tons better and more authentic than Madness walk in a park power drifting through the corners.

oh you know I only play rF2, Raceroom, and dirt rally 2.0, sometimes ACC

... here too, in any single article the name of nothing comes up. a game that with each release loses 1000/1500 users after a week wants to be passed as the best game ever created.

There is nothing that can be done, despite the huge effort this site has made and will make to push it.

We also had the (un)pleasure to read Yogi Bear who dares to offend a paying user because he criticizes a ridiculous engine with ridiculous physics.

Stop please to talk about nothing!!

Coming from you, I am a little surprised by this comment, as it is not what I except from a Forza Motorsport game. What, in your opinion, makes it better than vanilla AC?

My experience with Forza Motorsport is Motorsport 7. I enjoy it for what it is, but never thought much of the physic or FFB. Functional at best for me. Is the recent Motorsport that different.? I find it difficult to believe.

I will probably not purchase this title and do not need any additional non vr title, so my question are just curiosity, as, usually, we share the same views and respect your opinions.

Better in what? As an overall package? Depends on your preferences.
The sims you listed are all objectively better than FM when it comes to sound, physics, ffb, track surface detail, car setup adjustments, online play (as in clean and fair racing).
The only area where FM is better at is the number of cars (not the quality) and the entry barrier is lower (this can be considered good or bad, depends what you look for). Visually FM might look the best but since they botched the contrast, colors and have that weird lighting, what is actually visually good can't really shine, except when its night and it rains. So yeah, as an overall image i'd take iRacing, ACC or AMS2 over FM visually any time. Even in the texture quality department the sims do in some areas a better job compared to FM. For example the detail of the tarmac and curbs.

People like you attacking games without any experience and all just based on YouTube or Steam reviews. You should take time to read the negative FM reviews on Steam because almost none are criticising the physics. It's about performance, stability, game-design-decisions and missing features from former versions and yes, there is enough FM does wrong, but nothing that can't be fixed.

Not only the 8-point tyremodel feels to me like next level and combines what's great about rF2, AC and the braking reminds me of iRacing. It's certainly more a sim light approach and rather simcade by providing too much grip in the rain. WRC has similar strengths, but different. Dry tarmac feels a bit blunt while the rain and ice physics on tarmac is awesome. More forgiving than DR2, which I've never considered realistic as well as RBR. Reality is just different anyway.

'Better' was mentioned in the context of graphics, thus vanilla AC as CSPed one can be a serious eye candy. Not like it's the only thing where it can be fairly competitive with the other mentioned.. FFB for instance is extremely pleasant on Sumucube. Not ACC level of refinement, but arguably comparable if not even
better than AC or R3E.

Is it still not possible to move camera in dashboard view?
I didn't find the way, but for me with the right FOV settings it's right where it should be with no adjustments needed. I understand that in different setup it might need some tweaking.
If only they had TrackIR support. :(

Sharing opinion and "defending" is not the same thing.
You don't have to agree, and that's fine and expected, articulate that in a civilized way (if you are capable) and stop attacking personality.
If you want to see what true "defending" means, stop by at another thread where people losing their marbles over their precious and stage full pitch forked mob assault on anyone who dares to speak differently.
Some of them can be seen in others, even in this very thread, trying to continue that fight. Pathetic bunch, really.

ahaha, another defender of the fail.

of course it's possible, with UE camera tool....
Not sure what UE tool has to do with non UE based title, but if you are talking EA WRC, it has standard out of the box onboard settings adjustments.
