When Forza Motorsport‘s initial lineup of tracks was announced, racing game fans were surprised not to find the Nürburgring-Nordschleife on it. An explanation followed soon after, stating that certain tracks would be rebuilt for the new title. The Hockenheimring, Yas Marina and Daytona have since been aded.

Long List of Fixes

Now, the toughest race track in the world features in Forza Motorsport as part of the February update. A long list of fixes was in the works prior to the patch notes for Update 5 being posted, and the full does address a number of issues. Most importantly for many players, developer Turn 10 Studios fixed numerous bugs that plagued several models of steering wheels across all platforms.

The announced change to the car upgrade system is not part of this update.

You can find the full changelog below – or check the graphic for the condensed version.

Forza Motorsport Nordschleife: Combined Layout Available

The Nordschleife is, of course, not just a standalone addition. The GP version of the Nürburgring had already been on board since launch, and a combined layout now awaits. Players can race on either the 20.83-kilometer Nordschleife on its own, or run the full layout that includes the modern circuit as well.

The Forza Motorsport Nordschleife update also adds a number of new events, Spotlight Cars and new Car Pass vehicles. The latter feature the 2020 Audi TT RS Coupé, two modern race cars in the 2015 Cadillac #3 Cadillac Racing ATS-V.R and the 2018 Ford #98 Breathless Pro Racing TA Mustang, and a throwback to the 1965 Formula One season in the Lotus Type 35.

Interesting looks like you cannot even turn of DSC with this one, bummer. How new RTX is going to fix that.

EDIT: No, looks like there should be an option to turn it off in OSD, did you try it?

Awesome news, even beat ACC to it ! ! When i want to get serious with my simulation-craft this is my go to sim.

Please no arcade bs comments !

I can't believe Forza did this, but... I got an Acura ARX-05 DPI from one of the career series a while back, and thought the gifted one they sent could be sold for extra money, but no! They don't give me the option to sell a gifted duplicate car  And now I'm stuck with two of the same car, one of which I want to get rid of (The duplicate), but I can't...! Ugh!

Let's listen to a racing-driver with over 120 races in all kinds of cars (GT3, GT4, Nascar etc):
"Spoiler: iRacing is the worst simulator of all. Especially the tyre-model has nothing to do with real life"...
See, what I don't understand is: I love Iracing, I feel like it's a realistic experience to some degree. I know the tire model is way too punishing but still it feels like real racing. I feel the same about AC.

Now, seeing your post; I don't get triggered. I don't get upset. I definitely gonna try Rfactor2 now lol but my day is not ruined and I still love Iracing. How come some people lose their **** tho when this is said about their favorite sim(cade)? I don't get it. Why are the opinions of others so important if you enjoy what you enjoy?

since it's in the game pass I gave it another try. graphics are still terrible (maxed out, 3440x1440, native res), everything is blurry, especially cars in the distance, they remind me acc/ue titles in this regard (you can see how they smear - my display is right behind the steering wheel so I notice this things easily), trees look awful, colors are dull. I don't understand how fh5 looks so good with open world, and this doesn't.
I tried doing some kind of a track day on nordschleife, with different classes of cars - and it crashed - I saw other posts on the forums that multiclass is broken - nice. ai reminded me the one from fm7, they don't really sense your presence on the road.
driving feel was ok, I am using sc2 pro with dan suzuki's ffb settings. I tested few low powered road cars, they seemed kinda floaty, but I didn't bother tweaking the ffb.
this game made me appreciate ac more, it's 10 years old and with sol+shaders patch blows fm away, crystal clear graphics, better lods, ai, ffb/physics.

Pretty much matches up with my experience. The best Nords in sim racing it certainly isn't.

This game will be great or at least on GT7 level in year or two XD but then we will all be all in AC2 so yeah that is that.... shame really what and how they did it...

To late. After 40h of...yeah more or less boredom i deleted it for now.
The ssd is full of car games/sims so no regret here. But it´s a shame about the money spend on the premium edition....
As I am contemplating getting this title, I am curious , what is it that makes it so boring to you? What is it missing that would make it enjoyable to you? What were you expecting that seem to be missing?

Funny enough you´re asking right now. Because my post is already dated, i have to divide my answer in 2 parts.
I have posted it already back than but can´t find it. In any case i let the technical issues aside.

So i got the game right after the release and intended to play it like i always play Forza games - actually like a change to, i call them "real sims" , with chase cam and a xbox controller. I must throw in here, i always refuse to play with assists on (even with controller). Maybe it is also a part of my "problem" with the game.
The main problem right after 20-30 hours turned out to be just the lack of racing. Let me explain: All races was like always the same scheme: Some fun at the start, fighting with the AI in the first round. After that i got my position, let´s say mostly about 8-4 on difficultys 6 or 7 i couldn´t keep up with the AI in front of me, no matter what. But the AI behind me could also not keep upo with me. So all the rest of nearly every race was just a lonely drive to finish it. Without any racing thrill. Part of the problem is or was sure becaue the controls without any assist with a controller are really very weired and challanging.
However all FM´s before had similar "behavior" but not that pronounced. In summary i had just no fun playing this game. Thats becaue i named it just boring.
The game design of the training sessions with free position choose makes it no better in my eyes. But it´s matter of taste. Additionally i mean the last FM had lot more cars and events to offer if i remember right.

After i decided to give up i tried to play it like other sims with the wheel and cocpit cam. Well with my old T300 it was a desaster. But i did not try to search for setting. Just deleted the game.

2 weeks ago i got my CSL DD wheel and after i read Forza, if right set up, is not that bad at all with Direct Drive wheels, i decided to reinstall the game to check it out.
I tried some settings from the web and realized - yes it´s not that bad. But not really good either. Then i discovered THE settings by a youtube guy named Ermz, which yeah completly were a gamechanger for my relashinship with Forza.
This settings makes Forza definetly at least enjoyable, some times even close to other "sims". All depending also on car you drive. At this point i must say the ffb per car tunning option is mandatory for each car to feel good.
So after setting a wheel correct up and taking care of each cars ffb i really can enjoy this game again in cocpit view. With the wheel i can go up the difficulty to 7 or max 8 and am able to fight the cars in front of me. So the main problem of boring racing is almost gone.

Thats it ^^ If someone is interested in these settings which changed the game for me i can post them here.
I also recommend strongly to get the graphics tweak from Nexus Mod which was all time most downloaded. Its just copy and paste and makes the graphics much cleared and less washed out.

Would i buy the game at this time again?....or recommend it?.....still don´t know. I am glad i gave 90€ and can at least enyjoy it partly, but i also have 6 other sims installed which are all still better in terms of pure driving.

But yeah the content is still great, the visuals can shine and a sort of career mode is also given. So it also has his advantages.

Thank you for taking the time to reply, I understand your position.
I also have a CSL DD, had it for the last few years, it was and still is, for me, a game changer for many titles.
Not so much the "Sim" titles, like for example I never "liked" RF2, and the CSL DD did not change that, even made it worst, I just don't get the appeal.
But other titles, that felt "boring" sparked to life and made for a very pleasant and entertaining, to me , driving feeling, when set up right.
Like PCars, F1 2018, FM7, PCars2, even the "hated", in this quartiers, PCars3, can be fun.
The DD smoothness, speed, and details, in conjunction with some tactile feedback, can make o lot of not so Sim titles very palatable and just fun.
Variety, when you play Sim/Racing Games as much, as this retiree does, is the key to happiness.
AC, in VR, is still my main source of fun, but, depending of the time of day and the mood, I also indulge in a palette of different flavors. :D

I agree. Already realized after 2 weeks the advantages and just more pure fun of an DD wheel.
However especially within AC i have a hard time to catch oversteer slides. Especially there i have to fiddle extreme around with the car ffb to get the right feeling. I am not convinced while driving on the edge right now... Maybe it takes time to get used to it.

What 2 games made a huge step forward with the new wheel was AMS2 and suprisingly EA WRC. It´s fantistic with the right settings.

Try rF2 with DPR off, linear and FEI 80. Car ffb way down on 50-70.
Speaking of the hated PCars3 i have enjoyed it with controller and chase cam much more than any forza game ....

Premium
Speaking of Forza..... anybody else gets motion sickness right away playing it`? (no VR!) even get headache after half an hour.
Luckily i hadn`t those probs with any other racing game/sim so far ... (not talking about VR, I can´t stand VR even 30 seconds)
I have Turned off bloom effects and raytracing. Result is maybe bit better.
