F1 2011 Why when i modified a database the Game crashed?

I created Kimi Raikkonen to f1 2011 to Lotus in substitution to Bruno Senna....i change the file in language and in frontend for his photo and is ok...but when i Change parametries to Database and i put a new databese modified the game Crashed


why?...

I think you have to use the old database from the pre-patch 2 game. I think they have locked down that file in the patch, so it crashes if you edit it.

I might be wrong, but think that I read that here or over at Codemasters ........

Someone here will correct me if I am wrong

You can change the database file ok, but you need to use the original flow.bin file from the pre-patched game.

Ah .... thanks, that's was the file I was thinking of, not the database.
