Why has my placeholder account changed name on GPCOS

I signed up to GPCOS using my placeholder account which I already had from the winter series and the two pre season races. The placeholder account was named "Daniel Brewer". Put in all my details and linked my account to the placeholder account, but for some reason im now just called "Daniel". My rFactor name and racer name are both Daniel Brewer on GPCOS and on the sim and I can't work out why my placeholder account has randomly got rid of my second name, and whether or not this will be allowed come my first race (next weekend)

any help?

Seems your merge went wrong somehow, as I can only find the account "Daniel" and one other from 2013:

So it's going to be either of these. Name can be changed if you edit profile somewhere in GPCOS control center, I believe. If not, I can do it.

I can't find it in the control centre if it is there. The first link you posted is the one I aim to use if I can get the name right lol
