What is the Average Formula

I have looked in a old Racing book and found a calculation for formulas with data that reads like this.

2002 Season
Max Races/Classified/Mechanical/Max Lap Failures/Laps Completed/Reliability/Percentage
BMW Williams/34/27/6/2,180/1,963/90.0%
Ferrari/34/29/4/2,180/1,912/97.7%

How do these numbers come about. Dose anyone know the calculation Formula.
