PC2 VR - Can't see helmet in helmet cam

HI guys,

I have FOV set to 70 and the option to see helmet on but all that does is show me a slight tint on the screen like a visor.
At no time can I see my actual helmet like in this link for example.

(It works in normal single screen mode but when I'm in VR I just get the tint of a visor)

Not sure what else to try.

edit - by tint i mean i can see my visor but no helmet surrounding
