F1 2010 Tyre Change issues

Hi Guys,
I have just purchased F1 2010 and am now on my 5th race in Monaco. the problem i have is that it starts to rain after about 30 laps. now when i call to pit in i am not fitted with either inters or wets. is there a way for me to instruct the pit crew as to what tyres i need or am i doing something wrong? any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can change your tyre selection on the 'steering' menu just like you can change the wing setting and engine setting during the race

Also it has been noted that if you make a tire selection, then bring up that tire menu again but don't select a tire, the tire selection reverts to the default (not sure if this is still the case post-patch)
