DiRT Rally Tuning Tips

Lol, this dude doesn't have a clue what he's talking about... Diffs to "loose" to make the car "loose"? Gtfo. Tarmac... on Finland. Oh gosh. And he totally believes he made the thing into a drifting machine by setting everything completely backwards of a drifting machine. What an utter moron.

As for the OP, default setups are good enough if you are new to rally games. You will unlock an advanced setup after a few km's with each car and you acess it by clicking enter on the setup options, so it goes into a sub-menu which has detailed stuff. You can play with that, and use the info on the left side for each thing you want to change. But for rally, car control is #1, setups just make it easier to control it over jumps and such, which requires some damper knowledge to really get the best compression and decompression. Sadly, the game's physics in the current state are very loose and the changes you make are not very apparent, except springs, dampers, differentials, gears and brakes. So yeah, just go drive and learn as you go. Rally is not about shaving off hundreds of a second, especially not in the Mini Cooper. :p
