TH8RS not being recognized

I just picked this up from a buddy of mine in non working condition. The problem is it windows doesn't recognize it when its plugged in. I tried all of the methods online to put it in boot loader mode and what not. Still nothing. So I've come to the conclusion it might be a faulty circuit board. Any one know where i can find one. I emailed Thrustmaster but have gotten a reply yet. Any other idea what it could be besides the circuit board?

My experience with TM support has been good. They have responded within a reasonable time and apologised when they were a little slow. I sent my wheel base back to them and they have dispatched it in around a week, expecting it on Sat.
