not only is this the best weekly thread on rd... it attracts all the best poasters....

(except fergo, who is the worst poaster)

If you can safely get a car back to the pits then you have every right to continue in the race. Good to hear you were checking the mirrors and aware faster cars would be approaching you - thats what we like here. When being lapped try not to do anything sudden or unusual - try to race as normal. if a car is coming alongside you to place a lap on you, a wee lift usually helps. at corners do not vere from side to side. i would generally go in deeper allowing the faster car to take the racing line.

hope this helps.

I prefer to go back onto the track when I can. I must admit though, the more I drive with RD, the less time I spend in the pit.

Being lapped is just another racing experience.

RD Driving Guidlines:
Do not alter your line or braking for a faster car behind you. Unpredictable moves have a way of ending the race for both of you. Let the faster car dictate when and where to initiate a pass, and only then you are free to assist by easing off the throttle.

Drivers! If you liked this track do go for the event that Yves is running on Sunday @19:00, WTCC 87 at Bridghampton[The Bridge]. Fast, no chicanes even the hairpitn is a 2nd/3rd gear turn[not corner].

This is one of the finest "counrty roads" you can put four wheels on and let the motor rip! OK, so it sits on top of a huge sand dune, where it really counts, the pavement, cracked and patched as it is, this road will bring you back for just one more lap, so you can get "that" turn down.

No chicanes, there's no cutting at this track! No crowding into a slow first turn, let you motors howl!

Did I say, "Don't miss this racing opportunity!"?
