PC1 Sun Rays not showing in cockpit view

Something strange is occurring here...
I had the internal cockpit rays set on 'subtle' which give a good visual effect but now all of a sudden it is no longer visible with the same settings...
A file intergrity verification proved successful with no files needing to be replaced.
What could be the probable cause here? Could it be the 'real weather' or 'fixed weather' settings?

All I have found is, that when it's raining or foggy, the sunrays are not visible. Have you tried the default settings?
