AMS2 does this really well, Very few steps to go from launching the game to being on the starting grid with similar cars.
Where in AC, its a nightmare as nothing is in classes or proper subsets. The tags don't work very well, and you have to have a lot more knowledge in order to select an interesting field of similar opponents.
Its obviously not so much an issue in ACC but god damn, the interface in regards to classes/series/years, selecting your own car even in that game.........just horrible.
