This game has actually been my exclusive racing sim since 2010. But every now and then, something happens that I have never seen before. Today a Group A Volvo 240 Turbo exits the pits during qualifying just as I was heading down the straight flat out towards the pit exit for my flying lap.
Volvo seemed to exit the pits without a problem but as soon as the AI gassed it out past the pit exit, dark oil smoke bellows out from under the bonnet causing the brick of Swedish flats to rotate about 90 degrees on it's oil.
As you might have guessed, at 240 kmh closing speed I did not have much hope...and it seems whenever one makes contact with Volvo sheet metal, the hit is harder and does more damage.
I really love this sim. Will be happy to use it exclusively till the day I am too old to press a brake pedal!
Current day sims look prettier and have much better sound but apart from that I think they are all a step backwards from good old Race 07 with all it's official update packs.
