Had suffered a complete loss of game controller functionality today and could not figure out why.
Every STEAM game loss the ability to be controlled.
Rennsport...which is not a STEAM controlled title was fine, so that verified the hardware was okay.
It suddenly dawned on me that I had earlier (last evening) selected STEAM BETA.
A quick rollback to the non-BETA version rectified the issue.

Well, it appears you experienced a complete loss of game controller functionality while using STEAM. You can try at least this - Access STEAM's controller settings to verify that your controller is recognized. Navigate to Steam's "Settings" > "Controller" > "General Controller Settings" to configure or recalibrate your controller.
